21.01.2022 TURNING With enhanced speed and performance our CNC Lathes are geared for low/high precision and volume runs. We can do it all in one: chucking, turning, drilling, milling and tapping. Displaying high rigidity multifunction turrets, fast rotary tool spindles, high speed and high accuracy c-axis headstocks. Our capacities start from 1mm diameter right up to 920mm, and up to 3000mm in length.

07.01.2022 Check out the article from Manufacturers Monthly! Kewder Engineering gets grant from Vic gov February 13, 2018... The Victorian State Government has announced that it is helping Heidelberg West manufacturer Kewder Engineering improve productivity, drive sales and create new jobs. Minister for Industry and Employment Ben Carroll and Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines visited Kewder Engineering last week to announce a $195,000 grant from the Future Industries Manufacturing Program. The grant is part of Kewders $800,000 expansion allowing them to invest in new technology to produce high quality precision components for the aerospace and defence industries, creating seven jobs and upskilling three current employees. The new roles are suitable for ex-auto workers, with machine operators, a quality assurance manager and a fitter required at Kewders three sites in Heidelberg West. Kewder manufactures precision engineered components for a range of industries including medicine, science and telecommunications. The company has also recently diversified into the aerospace and defence sectors, supplying components for Bushmaster defence vehicles which are manufactured in Bendigo. Carroll said, Were supporting companies like Kewder Engineering so they can grow, create jobs and drive investment in our manufacturing industry. Victorian manufacturing is alive and well the industry has a bright future and were backing the businesses that will keep Victoria as the home of advanced manufacturing in Australia.

07.01.2022 Here at Kewder we have been involved in helping ANCA, along with Total Precision, providing a lot of the components that go into the sub assemblies as part of a consortium of Australian manufacturers. Led by Grey Innovation, ANCA, with our help, have been providing the manufacture of medical ventilator components, sub-assemblies and medical grade part cleaning for the NOTUS Emergency Invasive Ventilator Program. 03.01.2022 I had the pleasure of spending some time with our Welder, Dave, at Kewder today. He has been a welder for us for the last 2 years. We do all types of welding at Kewder including TIG, MIG and OXY to name a few. We use MIG (GMAW - Gas Metal Arc Welding), TIG (Tungston Inert Gas Welding) and STICK (Arc Welding) products. 01.01.2022 Starting as a toolmaker in Heidelberg, Victoria, Gerry Warrington nine years later decided to quit life as an employee and go out on his own. He leased a 380m2 factory in Heidelberg in 1990, where he was the G.W. Kewder's sole employee for about 12 months with only his Okuma LB15 CNC lathe as company. I made everything myself and my regular work week was at least 15 hours a day, seven days a week. I was not only working in my factory, I was also living there in a caravan!.
