20.01.2022 SCOPING DAY - 21st November 2019 Equine Vet Care New England, with the generous support of Randlab Pty Ltd, is holding a scoping day on the 21st of November. I...ts estimated that up to 75% of show and pleasure horses have gastric ulcers, and up to 90% of thoroughbred racehorses. Signs can be vague and non-specific, and include: Weight loss Behavioural changes Decreased performance Reluctance to train Poor appetite Girthiness Low grade colic Poor hair coat The current drought conditions, and therefore lack of grazing, are highly conducive for ulcer formation. We would expect to see a higher than usual proportion of horses requiring treatment. There will be a small fee of approximately $75 to cover the cost of sedation. The day will be held at the base of Double Dan Horsemanship in Kootingal. Please call, message or facebook message to book your place!
