11.01.2022 Introducing our amazing Education Leader Amanda My name is Amanda Lane and I am the Education Leader at KOB. I have 20 years of working in the education sector which includes a Cert III in Childrens Services and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies from Edith Cowan University. I am a Early Childhood Teacher and I have worked from kindy to Year 3 in schools in the private, public and catholic sector, my other roles in my career include working for Edith Cowan University ...supporting Pre-service Teacher, funding for children with additional needs in long day care as well as working in OSHC and long day care. I have 2 beautiful children who are 3 and 5 and I understand the importance of good quality early childhood education from a parents point of view. I love my job at KOB as the centre supports best practice in quality early childhood education and the admin and educators are committed 100% to ensure your child will have a positive and enriching experience.

10.01.2022 The following story is about a little girl in which we care for at KOB and her beautiful sister Scarlett. Every day we see this family, there is never a sad face, never a complaint about their day just big happy smiles and as a group of educators we have decided to support this family by raising money, each taking 10000 steps per day for the whole month of September, for an organization which is close to their hearts and to let them know we are there for them Scarlett's Story

07.01.2022 Early learning matters Starting this journey 25 years ago, we thought that it would be just another job, however we quickly realised that is was so much more. We enjoy watching the collaboration of educator and child learning and feel so happy to watch their relationships grow. We love to provide a warm & nurturing environment for lifetime learning. As Early Childhood Educators, and Mums living in the local Inglewood community, we decided to open a quality centre, to be abl...e to offer amazing programs within the community. Each day watching all the smiles on the children, makes us feel we are making a difference within the Community and to each of their little lives. #earlylearningmatters See more

01.01.2022 On 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. With their armies retreating and close to collapse, German leaders signed an Armistice, bringing to an end the First World War. From the summer of 1918, the five divisions of the Australian Corps had been at the forefront of the allied advance to victory. Beginning with their stunning success at the battle of Hamel in July, they helped to turn the tide of the war at Amiens i...n August, followed by the capture of Mont St Quentin and Pèronne, and the breaching of German defences at the Hindenburg Line in September. By early October the exhausted Australians were withdrawn from battle. They had achieved a fighting reputation out of proportion to their numbers, but victory had come at a heavy cost. They suffered almost 48,000 casualties during 1918, including more than 12,000 dead. In the four years of the war more than 330,000 Australians had served overseas, and more than 60,000 of them had died. The social effects of these losses cast a long shadow over the postwar decades. #remberanceday #remberanceday2020 #lestweforget
