25.01.2022 We withhold 5% of your Child Care Subsidy (CCS), during the year to help reduce your risk of being overpaid. When we balance your CCS, we make sure we subsidise...d your child care fees correctly. If you got too much CCS, youll owe us money which youll have to pay back. Well use the amount we withheld to help reduce your overpayment. If theres still an overpayment after this, youll need to pay this back. If your overpayment is less than the amount we withheld, well pay you the remaining amount. If you dont have a child care overpayment, well pay the amount we withheld directly to you. Well write to you to explain the outcome once weve we finished balancing your payments. Theres more info about withholdings here: https://www.humanservices.gov.au//your-income-can-affect-i

15.01.2022 Many may have noticed the temporary fencing that has been up for some time now at our service due to a small incident that happened late 2019. We are so excited that all preparation steps have been complete to finally get a brand new, cleverly engineered fence up on our corner to ensure complete safety from the outside traffic! The children are loving all the action, and its sparking lots of interest for them.

13.01.2022 Sustainability, gardening, experimenting with nature. Such an important focus at Wilsons Road ELC! Pictured is a wonderful experience the Kinder 1 children were engaged in, as well as our thriving veggie garden. Creating, and caring for this garden is an amazing team effort by our educators and children.

13.01.2022 Wilsons Rd Early Learning and Kinder would like to acknowledge the importance of todays date and pay our respect to Aboriginal Elders past, present and emerging on whose shoulders we stand today. May a culture of change, tolerance, love and acceptance continue to flourish

12.01.2022 Some beautiful photos of some previous spaces/activities in the Toddler 1 room. Our Toddler room has been on quite the journey in the last six months and we are very proud of the transformation, not only with the space but the childrens engagement and learning. Our educators are continually working together to create inspiring educational provocations to support our families goals and childrens development.

12.01.2022 Respecting children and providing them with opportunities to participate in matters of concern to them is one of the most effective ways of encouraging them to ...believe in themselves. This week is National Childrens Week. Find free posters, tips and more information on how to get involved: https://www.childrensweek.org.au/all-posters.php

12.01.2022 Thank you for your concern for the children and educators, after the car accident that occurred, resulting in a car hitting our brick wall at the front of our service. I can assure everyone that, while it was a shock, all children and the team of educators, are safe and well. Thank goodness for the strategically and purposely placed brick wall and rocks that prevented anything further from occurring. The wall will be assessed by professionals to ensure the ongoing safety of our children. I wish the drivers of both vehicles a speedy recovery. Centre Director, Wilsons Road Early Learning and Kinder.

11.01.2022 Families a reminder that we will be closed on Monday January 27th. Have a great long weekend

07.01.2022 Our veggie garden! Planted here we have celery, broccoli and bok choy. The children have all been involved in planting our veggie garden, and caring for it. 07.01.2022 Progressive Meals are an important part of our childrens daily routine. Our educators work together with our children to allow them to learn the routine in their own time which provides a sense of comfort and support. Children are able to come to the table in small groups to enjoy their meal or continue playing while others eat, this supports children being able to finish up activities they are involved in and learn to understand their needs and how to meet them. We also love the meals table set up just like at home to encourage warm family style meal times, conversation and shared enjoyment.

07.01.2022 OUR KINDER ROOM We are constantly working on continuing to create rich, inviting and meaningful environments for the children. In line with our Reggio Emilia philosophy, and the Early Years Learning Framework. https://earlylearningandkinder.com.au/early-years-learning/

04.01.2022 Our kinder children experienced a visit to Whitehaven nursing home this morning. They took over a selection of materials and resources from our service, to show the elderly community what they enjoy engaging with at Kinder. Our excursions take place routinely. Ranging from Whitehaven, visits to the library and Woolworths for a Fresh foods Kids discovery.

03.01.2022 In light of National Tree Week of which the kinder children celebrated at the beginning of August, we planted a cherry tree in our kinder yard! The children all took part in prepping the ground, digging the hole, and planting the tree. Sustainable practice, and embedding knowledge of the environment is key to children becoming respectful to nature. The children take great pride in their tree, and all take part in caring for it everyday.

01.01.2022 Our Community Pantry over Christmas exploded with gifts donated by our Wonderfully thoughtful educators and families. Taking on board the heart behind our slogan "Give what you can." "Take what you need." We simply provided a space and the idea of kindness and we had food, clothing and gifts coming in form everyone. Our community is important to us and we want to develop a sense of support and trust while getting our families actively involved in caring for one another alongside our educators.
