25.01.2022 St Andrew Day championships that were held over the weekend in Queensland ran as smooth as they come. Once again the true dedication within the organisers and volunteers shines again..... Extremely hot day for dancing but a big congratulations to all who competed - well done Kilts and Costumes had its first real outing - so here we are at the competition setting up my little highland dancing shop - just awesome. I have to say one extremely huge thank you to the SQRCHDI com...mittee for giing Kilts & Costumes the opportunity to show what we have to offer Highland World. Your ongoing valued support is very well appreciated. Congratulations to Dancer - Georgia Wruck for winning the adjudicators choice for most promising dancer - it was our pleasure to donate Thistle Gold highland pump and hope you enjoy wearing them.

15.01.2022 Due to unfortunate circumstances we have found ourselves without a seamstress. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused to our clients. For the unforeseen future we will be selling ready made garments supplied by tartan town Canada via order and will be unable to do any alterations until we have replacement seamstress in place. Again we sincerely apologise and we are sure that we will be back to our usual services very soon.

11.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend it was for Kilts and Costumes - Over both Saturday and Sunday we were set up at the Thistle City of Brisbane Championships. A big! big! HUGE thank you to Mrs Margaret Patterson and the entire Thistle crew for not only fully supporting us but also looking after us so well. The area that you had us situated in was excellent and the hospitality over the weekend was impeccable, thank you so much again... Despite the heat it was a truly awesome comp ...- the dancers were just amazing and a big congratulations to all those who competed and it was great to see so many golden oldies still competing - absolutely excellent - keep it up! and well done to all. Over the span of the weekend I think i spoke to just about everyone there and it was truly amazing to chat kilts, costumes and pumps with so many wonderful people. Thank you for all the orders, we truly appreciate your confidence in ordering with us, dont forget that we do fully guarantee our work, communication is the key factor. All orders pending are currently being processed to ensure all deadlines are met accordingly and all relevant paperwork will be out by the end of the week. Congratulations to dancer, Jade from Petrea Gibbins Highland Dancing Academy for winning our donated prize - the new Aboyne Skirt and Plaid, own choice 100% new wool dancer tartan. Im looking forward to meeting with Jade and her mum on Saturday when they come down to choose her tartan, ill keep everyone updated on the tartan choice and post a photo of the finished outfit. 10.01.2022 Playing catch up after the Bay Island titles in Wellington Point and then the following weekend enjoying a wonderful weekend down in Armidale NSW - thank you very much to comp organizers, Jenny and Tracey - you both are awesome !! it was a great competition and an amazing weekend topped off with the very enjoyable workshop on the Sunday

10.01.2022 hi to everyone in highland world - im really happy to see all the entries coming in so if you havent sent yours in yet pop a reminder in your phone so you don...t forget. Bay Island Diary entry: Its all very exciting over here in Bay Island land especially when it comes to picking trophies & sashes, one of my favorite parts!! look out for the splashes of pink!! I love them and im sure all those competing will also. We have a new medal collection coming out this year along the morning and afternoon encouragement awards and of course our First Entry in prize which i have to say was so close this year - it was so close that we had to use the time they were all received in to determine who was actually first - LOL its great to see that a lot of parents/dancers are way more organised than me!! so a big congratulations to the winner who will be announced on the day and a very very big thank you to our very very special Miss Patti Cake Cupcake Kirsty for donating the wonderful 1st entry in prize again this year.
