24.01.2022 COMMUNITY SERVICE This is something that I have always been passionate about. Over the years I have been involved in community projects for the Cancer Council, Epic Assist, MND, Beyond Blue and St Vincent De Paul just to name a few.... Covid 19 has really hindered my community engagements this year, however today I was able to become involved with Meals On Wheels in Petrie. These guys provide a terrific service to people who need a helping hand. The business Manager, Wendy is a wonderful, energetic and vibrant person who leads an awesome team of dedicated volunteers. Today I had the privilege of driving for Gary to do the Kurwongbah and Samford area meal deliveries. Time permitting, I hope to remain engaged with this fantastic organisation. 20.01.2022 For the past few years I have attended several Family law courts supporting fathers and their families as they struggle with child access issues. It has been h...eartbreaking and frustrating to watch the failures of the current system tear good and loving parents away from their children. As your local representative, I will listen to your needs and concerns in terms of road development and improvement, and I will commit myself to help getting works done in the best possible way. Our communities grow continuously, and our needs in terms of mobility are also changing in time. I have identified a number of high-priority projects requiring immediate attention, as per the below. I have lodge...d an E-petition for the expansion of Morayfield Road - double lanes from Graham Road through to the Bruce Highway M1 exit ramp northbound. https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//petit/petition-details Council Road complaint for Torrens Road and Eucumbene Drive in Petrie, off Narangba Road. Road works plan currently in with Moreton Bay Regional Council. QLD Govt - Petrie Roundabout, Anzac Avenue Construction already started with concerns related to Gympie Road to Dayboro Road for the volume of traffic including quarry trucks. Youngs Crossing Road MBRC has a survey out to the public with feedback requested for two options. Residents from both options have approached me for further discussions and I have supported Option 1 with a statement released regarding this. Please remember that I am here to work for you. 15.01.2022 I will not make a secret of it: I am a huge animal lover. As a member of the Animal Rescue Collective, I acted as a drop off hub during the bushfires to collect and transport donated animal care items to head office in Mt Gravatt. As a supporter of the Red Cross and St Vincent De Paul, I have significantly committed myself to bushfire relief fundraising.... I also am a member of Pine Rivers Koala Care, as well as Wildlife Rescue QLD. Should I be elected as your representative in the Kurwongbah electorate, I can guarantee you that I will stand up for the well being of our precious little friends in every situation. As my personal commitment to you, I will provide support to QLD Wildlife Rescue, Pine Rivers Koala Care, Moreton Bay Koala Rescue and Koala Rescue QLD. 14.01.2022 As your local representative, I will ensure continuity with delivering much needed school upgrades in terms of facility works and everything our students need for the best possible school experience. I will listen to your concerns and act accordingly. For example, I have identified school pick up time related issues yielding traffic situations which can make the journey home unsafe for our children. I would recommend further investigations for the possible staggerering star...t and finish times for different grades in order to minimize traffic congestion and maximize student safety. I have been studying road development projects that might introduce safety issues for younger students, as such, my recommendation will be to correct such plans in order to place the safety of our children above all. As a member of PHON party, I will stand for your rights to access education in a cost-effective manner. Providing our children with the best possible education means building the future of our Country, and it should not be constrained by the size of your pockets. I am here to work for you.
