25.01.2022 A great opportunity has opened up for a Kangaroos level player to join a very successful team now looking to make its mark in 2020.

25.01.2022 Hi Kingsbury United families and friends. First of all, we hope that you and your families are safe and sound during this extraordinary period. While sports is not a top priority in the grand scheme of things, hopefully it can provide some mild relief for the kids. With this in mind, we have an update for you all. As a result of the latest announcements regarding COVID-19 by the Victorian Government, we are looking at resuming training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the 2nd ...of June. The resumption of matches is yet to be determined (however, we don't think that will be too far away). Sports and Recreation Victoria have shared the guidelines and conditions that need to be met in order for sports to return at a local level. The details are attached to this post. A basic run down of the rules are: All players, coaches and parents must wash their hands before coming to the club. No more that 10 players plus coaches to a group Social distancing must be adhered to at all times Training times will be staggered to avoid congestion at the ground There will be no use of the club rooms. We have toilets that can be accessed externally. All equipment must be disinfected after each training session. Training sessions must be non contact. Parents must stay clear of training or remain in their cars. All parents will receive a text shortly where you will be asked to give us an indication on your intention to return to training. This will help us to plan our sessions and times for each group. We would appreciate it if you could reply to message as soon as you can. We urge you all to read what is required from the Parent/Player carefully and make sure you understand them. This will assist us in making sure we operate as smoothly and as safe as possible. Regards, On Behalf of Kingsbury United SC Committee Nami Yilmaz President. 0411 165 086

22.01.2022 Hi all. We are going through a time of uncertainty and trepedation at the moment so we would like to end the evening on a positive note after the disapointing news today. Unfortunately the Futsal Finals have been cancelled - for obvious reasons - so we would like to thank everybody who was involved in the 2019-2020 Spring/Summer Futsal season with Kingsbury United SC. It was a great experience and the coaches looked forward to every Friday evening as we are sure the players d...id. A massive thank you to all the players, parents and coaches - Ricardo, Alby, Joe, Nami, Tony and Robert who gave up their time on a Friday evening to organise their teams on a weekly basis. They never complained once about anything (Only joking). Thank you also to the parents who coached when needed due to fixture clashes or availability - Mark, Paul, Simarjeet, Joe and Joe, Chris. All of our teams were set to play finals this week and I have no doubt, they would have done us all very proud as they have all improved as players over the season. It was a huge success and we will be back for the 2020/2021 Futsal Oz season with as many teams as possible. 14.01.2022 Hi all. Firstly, we hope you are all well during this tough time and we thank you all for joining us in 2020. In anticipation of the State Governments Covid Road map working to plan, it is time to start planning again for Spring Training 2020 for late OCT/early Nov, pending all approvals etc. It is essential to remain positive and we believe we will be back in about 6 weeks. 2020 has been a set back for all clubs mentally and financially. Stage 4 did take the wind out of ou...r sails somewhat, however, we would rather look to the future and plan our path forward in constructive manner rather than dwelling on what could have been. With that in mind our committee is already working to get the Spring Training plan in place and will soon make contact with all our coaches to keep them informed. As always, if anybody else is interested in Coaching, please let us know. We will of course announce dates as soon as they are confirmed. We have also been lucky enough to retain all of our sponsors and those funds will be rolled over to help finance next year. You will see posts in the next day or so naming and thanking our sponsors. 2021 will be a big year for our club. We expect to have our U6 program up and running and teams from U7s to U15. Some age groups will have multiple teams. We want as many girls as we can get to continue our growth in that area and have multiple Girls only teams in as many age groups as possbile. We will also have at least 1 Senior Mens Teams with a vision to play State League as soon a practically possible. A Womens Senior Team is also in the plans and would be a fantastic achievement. Our Summer Futsal Program at Futsal Oz Thomastown, which was a huge success Spring/Summer 2019/2020 will be dependant on government advice later on in the year In addition, the club has contacted everybody who paid above the deposit amount and has paid refunds to all those who have responded. Please understand that although we didnt have a season, there are costs involved in preparing for a season. Ground fees during pre-season, equipment and Bulk sanitiser for example. If you have not responded as yet, please do so and we will refund the fees above the $100 deposit. We look forward to a massive Spring Training for what we believe will be our biggest yet. Thank you and see you all soon. Kingsbury United Committee. Call us on 0411 165 086 for further details.

08.01.2022 Hi Kingsbury United Families and Friends. We hope all our members, past and present, are healthy and safe. It has been a while since we have had an update regarding the potential to start training again. Due to the fantastic efforts of everybody so far in dealing with COVID-19, the Australian governnment has announced guidelines for the return of Sport and Recreation. No date has been set, however, with the continued discipline of all Australians and her residents in keeping... the spread of COVID-19 to a satisfactory level, there is little doubt that a return to sport is not as far away as first thought. There is a more detailed explaination on the shared link from the FV with regards to the matter. Regards, Kingsbury United SC Committee. https://www.footballvictoria.com.au//prime-minister-announ

07.01.2022 Dear members, We have decided to cancel training for the next 2 weeks for our U6's to U14's teams due to the concern of participating at soccer training at this time. We do not know what the Federal Government, State Government, Health Department or Football Victoria will advise within, or after the next 2 weeks. However, what we have all been advised by the Cheif Medical Officer is that cases will most certainly rise, but we also know that if the spreading of COVID-19 is slo...wed down, then the most vulnerable in our community ie - our grandparents, our elderly neighbour etc, will have the best chance of recovery as the intention is not to inundate our health system with too many COVID-19 cases at once. We will play our part by not congregating at our soccer club for 2 weeks. Yes, the kids are still going to school where they will have far more contact with each other than at soccer training, but there are reasons for that. Eg - many kids staying at home will most like be looked after by an elderly relative (who are most vulnerable). Yes, after 2 weeks COVID-19 will still be around. It will be around for alot longer than that. However, after the 2 weeks, we hope we all get a better understanding of what is going on and where it is most likely going to lead. We know that the kids will be gutted. However, as a committee, we must accept the concern some of our members have raised and in this very trying time, the slowing down of the spread of COVID-19 for the sake of our most vulnerable members of community is important. Soccer can wait 2 weeks. The club is not going anywhere. I am 100% confident that we have your full support and understanding. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me on 0411 165 086 at any time. Nami Yilmaz President.

05.01.2022 Further to yesterdays good news, from Football Victoria. Football Victoria (FV) is very pleased to note that the included return dates for competitive sport as follows:22 June: 18 years and under full contact training and competitions 13 July: Adult contact training 20 July: Adult contact competitions ... From 22 June, clubs can also access changerooms and showers. Club rooms can open for up to 20 people per indoor space. Gatherings will also be permitted but must abide by gathering restrictions spectators must not be in groups of greater than 20 and must adhere to social distancing requirements around the ground and venue. FV will provide further guidance in the coming days on season dates for all competitions and will update and circulate the Return To Training Conditions.

04.01.2022 KUSC Members We hope we find all our Kingsbury United SC members well and safe during these difficult times. With the advanced spreading of COV-ID19 we are unsure as to when training and games will begin in 2020, but with these difficult times Kingsbury United SC havent forgotten about the children of the club and we know they will be wanting to get back into as soon as they can. What we are planning to do as a club, with the guidance of our technical director Tony Protuder..., is to keep our kids active and in some sort of training. Every Monday we will be sending all the parents an activity for the children to complete for the week. We will open a forum via our Facebook page for parents to post videos of the children preforming those activities so we can continue to interact as a club and a community. Training videos and tasks will be sent via Teamapp. If you have already signed up to Teamapp please use the link below to do so. Please post any videos of the kids Juggling below in the comments. Let's see who can do the most.

Our club is growing in terms of numbers and teams and we feel it is more important now than ever to remain positive and start the ball rolling and are looking to expand our Junior Program for Boys and Girls. Due to the season being extended, we will not committ to any tournaments that may be offered until we get closer to the end of the season as it may coincide with any planned summer sport for our players and our Futsal... Program. Thank you everbody for your support so far. It has been amazing and we appreciate your participation as we have been able to field most teams that we anticipated on having prior to restrictions coming into effect. Great effort everybody Nami Yilmaz.
