24.01.2022 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT We have secured this very special shape balloon to reign over the King Valley this Queen's Birthday weekend - Van Gogh! This balloon (PH-GOG), all the way from Holland, will grace the landscape of mountains, vineyards and cool clear rivers, to delight ballooning enthusiasts, art appreciators, fine wine and food-lovers alike. The balloon was digitally printed from Van Gogh's self-portrait, painted in the winter of 1887-1888. It will be piloted by fiv...e-times Australian champion aviator Paul Gibbs of Goldrush Ballooning. The festival runs 7-10 June, with mass ascensions of 20 balloons each morning, festival passenger flights and Brown Brothers Night Glow on Saturday evening. The King Valley is located in Victoria's High Country, 3 hours north-east of Melbourne. Photograph by Ben Bläss. See more

23.01.2022 Come fly with us! Goldrush Ballooning operate festival flights, so you can be part of the action. Lift off in the early morning, float over the valley, and celebrate with a Prosecco breakfast when you get back to Brown Brothers winery. 20.01.2022 A lovely story here from Border Cafe - an interview with one of our balloon pilots, and details of the Pilot's Farewell Dinner being hosted at King River Brewing. http://bordercafe.com.au//experiencing-the-freedom-of-the/

19.01.2022 There’s plenty of reasons we love flying over the King Valley - but King Valley hospitality is one of the top ones! On Saturday and Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday weekend, the winemaking families of the region open their cellar doors for Weekend Fit for a King. It’s a food and wine festival that is uniquely family-friendly. Tickets are $25pp (valid both days; children free) giving visitors access to free wine tastings, festival menus, entertainment, kids activities and a tas...ting glass to take home. We highly recommend you make it a part of your long weekend plans in the King Valley!

16.01.2022 If you’re coming along to the festival this Queen’s Birthday weekend (or thinking about it!) click ‘interested’ on this Facebook listing. That way you’ll get notifications about flight times, weather, and some of the fun we are having

16.01.2022 Oh yes, we did!

15.01.2022 We’re flying again Sunday morning from 7am. Monday’s weather may not allow us to fly, so come down on Sunday and ensure you don’t miss this spectacular sight. Photo by embark photography

15.01.2022 Isn’t this the most extraordinary sight? Van Gogh had a test run in Canberra this week, and will be flying each day of the festival 7-10 June.

10.01.2022 Hi balloon fans! We've got some great weather coming for the festival - but some less than great weather, too. It's looking clear on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but Monday might be wet and windy. Wet and windy is not so good for hot air balloons, and might mean we can't fly. So, our recommendation to you is to get out early to see the mass ascensions on Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning. Bring a coat and beanie, grab a coffee and enjoy the day in the beautiful King Valley.

04.01.2022 Balloons in blue skies are just the most beautiful thing. Floating over the King Valley...

03.01.2022 Thank you pilots for an amazing show this evening, and thank you spectators for your enthusiasm at Brown Brothers Winery Night Glow.
