25.01.2022 It's all systems go at the Blackheath Community Centre for tomorrow's Christmas Lunch. Yes - the Blackheath venue will be open and you're all welcome to come.

24.01.2022 Thank you to all our volunteers, organisers, contributors & guests for making our 20th year a great success. Thank you also to Brian & Liz Edmonds for starting Kinship back in 1999. Merry Christmas everyone. We'll be back in 2020.

20.01.2022 Spread the word to those you may know who might be spending Christmas Day alone. They don't have to - they can come to one of our three locations.

19.01.2022 It's our 20th birthday and this Christmas we are at three locations: Blackheath, Blaxland and now at Lawson. Please share this video among your networks. No one should spend Christmas Day alone.

15.01.2022 Our lunches are at Blaxland, Lawson & Blackheath. We all know someone who could be spending Christmas Day alone. Let them know they're invited to Kinship at Christmas.

15.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone - please feel to join us at any of our three locations; Lower Mountains Neighbourhood Centre at Blaxland, Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre at Lawson or the Blackheath Community Centre at Blackheath. Its all free and everyone is invited. Come and help us celebrate our 20th year.

14.01.2022 Good on you Roxanne Wilshire for doing the nursing home gift giving run today, bringing Christmas cheer.

12.01.2022 Great initiative!

10.01.2022 Wanted: A good Samaritan is needed on Christmas Day for a special transport job: I'm looking for a person who could give a lift for a man from Katoomba Hospital. He wants to pop down to the Blaxland Kinship lunch (to meet up with his elderly mother whom he hasn't seen for many weeks). He is permitted to travel and has a fold up wheelchair. No lifting is required. If you can help out please text me your details to 0414 993 873 and I'll be in touch. Thanks - Mark

08.01.2022 Do you know of anyone in Lithgow who may be spending Christmas alone? Christmas & Beyond are having a free Christmas Lunch. Contact Craig on 0456 560 018

04.01.2022 Many thanks to the wonderful people from Central Coast Disaster Relief who dropped off gifts to Chris & Pat Kelly for Kinship to distribute. So many wonderful organisations help us help those in the Blue Mountains who need a hand at Christmas.

03.01.2022 Only a few days until Christmas - please let anyone you know that might be spending Christmas Day alone that they are welcome at one of our lunches.

03.01.2022 Regretfully, due to the Covid-19 requirements around social distancing in indoor settings and those around food preparation and handling, it won't be possible for our Kinship At Christmas lunch to be held this year. Logistically, it would mean a lunch where the usual large group of attendees would not be able to interact socially and besides that, we would not want to have a function that would violate Department of Health guidelines or may, even under the slightest possibili...ty, risk the health and well being of any of our guests. Kinship will be active this Christmas with our non-lunch activities; primarily our gift giving to local aged care residents. Despite the disappointing decision we have had to make this year, we feel it is the most responsible decision. We will be back on Christmas Day 2021 - bigger, brighter and ready to roll out our 21st Christmas Day lunch. See more

02.01.2022 A reminder that all Kinship volunteers & their guests are invited to come along to a Thank You morning tea tomorrow at 1030 (till noon) at the Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre, New Street Lawson. Come along if you can.
