25.01.2022 Exam Day at Heartspace Thank you parents for supporting your children on their journey of dance! Sunday was such a special day for the girls. Despite such a disjointed year, these girls worked so hard to meet their dance goals and further their dance education! Dancing at Heartspace isnt just about learning steps! We have values our school is built upon- which I witnessed without any prompting! Nurturing, supporting each other, connection no matter what age! These girls pla...yed with our younger students, congratulated them, and helped out! They came early or stayed back to support each other! Credit to you mums, dads & families)Such good kids!! Our environment yesterday can be rare for dance schools, and is what makes us so unique. Ballet exams can be and are usually stressful, but not with us! Our day was celebratory -yet the examination process was still formal, focussed, professional and serious woth a healthy dose of nerves, and lots of joy! Thank you to our bun expert and all the things-Bee, Fiona for grabbing lunch and photos, Karla & Jacqui for number pinning, and mums & dads who hang around to soak up the excitement, and support where they could. Liliana for her assistance with Pre Primary & Primary Students, and being our music person. Thank you for Maleny Independant School for the use of the classroom. Thank you to our examiner Mrs Kay. Its been a tough year for everyone, but days like yesterday reminds me how the dance life is magical. 05.01.2022 Exciting news for Heartspace Term 3 Aloha everyone, My name is Jackson James and I will be the newest addition to Heartspace Performing Arts Centre. ... My passion for dance began when I was a wee boy around 9 years old at Kirsty & Kester's dance classes. I trained with them for about 2 years and then moved to Canada to do my high school years. Now, all these years later, I have settled down on the Sunshine Coast to become a high school teacher and study dance. As part of my Dance Certificate IV training, I will be required to assist teachers in dance to gain knowledge and skills.
