25.01.2022 Zookeepers around the world spend day in day out caring for their animals in rain or shine and today is international zookeeper day to recognise their amazing work and dedication. Even when the world shut down and there were no visitors, zookeepers went above and beyond to ensure their animals never went without love and care. Our team here at the KI Wildlife Park is incredible and we are so thankful to them each and every day for everything they do

24.01.2022 The Capuchins may have moved in first but these little guys weren't far behind! Check out their wicked new enclosure and say hello during your next visit.

23.01.2022 We loved having the beautiful girls Brittany Hockley and Renae Ayris visit us at the park a few weeks ago. They were over sharing our beautiful Kangaroo Island to the world and we think our babies stole their hearts

23.01.2022 Sam loves everything to do with reptiles, especially snakes! In honor of world snake day we wanted to share with you a few photos of Sam doing what he loves from right back when he was a kid!

23.01.2022 Our Marmosets are on maternity leave! First time parents Link and Zelda are proud to introduce their tiny baby Navi who is now a week old. The trio are all doing very well and they have taken to parenting perfectly. See if you can spot little Navi holding on tight to mum or dad next time you visit

20.01.2022 Many of you may have met Louis. He has been making people say awwwww since he made his debut out of the pouch last year. Even though he has grown a lot he still loves a cuddle with his mum. If you want to say hello, pop in to one of our daily koala talks and if you fall in love with him like we all have, you can help with his daily care by adopting him! He is just one of our many adorable animals available for adoption.

20.01.2022 A little update from our Rescue Centre. More babies growing up, ready to go!

19.01.2022 Its Christmas Eve and all through the park, Christmassy treats are being found. Our adorable bushfire babies are enjoying a cracker bouquet of leaves in preparation for their Christmas feast Tomorrow is Christmas and just a reminder that we are closed for Christmas day but will be open again boxing day and beyond

18.01.2022 October 24th is world kangaroo day and where better to celebrate all things kangaroo than on Kangaroo Island! We love our kangaroos, many of which have been rescued over the years like little Rex here

17.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest We Forget.

17.01.2022 Today is world oceans day. We need to protect our oceans every day but for 2020 the global movement is called 30x30, calling on world leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030. Join us in raising awareness for our oceans and do your bit to protect them. Reduce, recycle and reuse

16.01.2022 Today is not only save the Koala day but September is also save the Koala month! After the devastating losses to their population during last summers fires it is more important than ever to protect Koalas and their habitat. Kangaroo Island Koalas are known to be chlamydia free which makes them extra special. We, as part of the Kangaroo Island Koala Rescue Centre, are working together with some incredible teams, towards safeguarding the future of Koalas and their habitat. Adopt one of our furry friends to help us with their care and follow the Rescue Centre for ongoing updates about our work.

14.01.2022 It's Emu breeding season and our paddock is full of the beginnings of nests like this one. Hopefully this year our boys will sit and we will have little tiny baby emus joining the mob.

13.01.2022 As we all know, 2020 has been a turbulent year with the bushfires, floods and then the pandemic shutting down the world. But despite the challenges and adversities we've all been faced with, we are looking forward to the future. After hearing our story, we received a call from Wild Turkey Australia Creative Director Matthew McConaughey himself, who as part of the #WildTurkeyWithThanks initiative, was looking to shine a light on Local Legends and we, along with our incredible team, were so honoured to be seen as one of them. Head to wildturkeybourbon.com.au/local-legends to hear all of our stories and see how you can support bushfire regeneration as part of this initiative.

13.01.2022 You guessed it! We would like to introduce you to our three Capuchin boys - John Campbell, Max and Rasin they will be ready to greet you on Saturday after having the rest if the week to settle into their new home. Be sure to say hello during your next visit!

12.01.2022 R U OK? With the events that have unfolded so far for 2020 it is more important than ever to look after our own mental health as well as others. So many people throw unnecessary hate at others, not realising how much it affects them and how close they may be to breaking point. Ask a question, start a conversation and be open to the reply. Learn, grow and spread positivity and kindness to help make everyone's day that bit brighter. Words hurt, make sure your next words about someone you don't actually know, are positive ones. Sending positivity and cuteness from some of our bushfire survivors to brighten your day.

12.01.2022 Are you still looking for a father's day present for this weekend? Our three Capuchin boys Max, Raisin and John Campbell are now on our adoption list! Why not adopt one of them for your Dad for this father's day. Email us at [email protected] for more information.

11.01.2022 Lockdown is easing early and someone is ready to say hello and welcome you all back from Sunday 23rd November! Our koala joeys are ready to start venturing out if the pouch in the next month, right in time for summer holidays We have lots of open outdoor space and covid safe practices in place to ensure everyone stays safe: 1 person per 4 sqm in undercover and indoor areas and visitors must social distance 1.5 m from other guests. 10.01.2022 After hearing about Kangaroo Island's bushfires last summer, we got a call from Matthew McConaughey to hear our story for himself. He was lovely to chat to and had a genuine care for our wildlife and environment. We spoke about what we've been through, what we hope for the future and what everyone can do to support Kangaroo Island. Along with Wild Turkey Australia and Matthew McConaughey, we are calling for Aussies to visit and support our incredible bushfire-affected Island when you can. 09.01.2022 Yesterday marked 7 years since Sam and Dana started their journey at the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. 2020 has by far been the most memorable so far with everything that happened during the bushfires and then Covid!
