Ambassador Jeong-sik Kang visited Perth from 18 to 20 November for Western Australian Korean War Memorial Fund-Raising Event to check the site for the Korean War Memorial, to encourage Korean communities and Australian Government agencies’ participation in construction of Korean War Memorial, and to present ‘Apostle of Peace Medal’ to war veterans. After the fund-raising event, Ambassador had a meeting with the expatriates in Western Australia, oversaw Embassy’s consular services, and discussed construction of meeting hall for Korean Community with its members.
