16.01.2022 In my opinion, not enough is said about the real 'benefits' of breastfeeding. Tongue in cheek, but maybe we should make these into health promotion posters inst...ead On a more serious note, it sometimes feels like we have to give the answer that 'breastfeeding is important for babies' when actually, as long as it's working well, and once you've got through the earlier weeks of getting to grips with it, it often becomes a simpler option. I think we should say that more often! Also, this was a list written in the Positive Breastfeeding Book three years ago. I think the first - the shops being closed - has taken on a whole new meaning during lockdowns and in other areas, emergencies. There's a serious conversation to be had in all of this in investing in breastfeeding for food security and sustainability. But there's definitely also room for humour and just sheer convenience :D If you're being honest (and not making light of more serious situations) what were the perks of breastfeeding for you
