After a lengthy period with no community transmission, South Australia has had to contend with a significant cluster of COVID cases. It’s a timely reminder to us all to avoid becoming complacent in our COVID protections. It also highlights why ongoing COVID protocols are so important for us to protect our loved ones in the aged care system." 06.01.2022 A keepsake from Seniors Week 2020 - our Succulent Wall for the front reception area!

04.01.2022 Dear OneCare Family, We’ve all been following the developing news regarding the Delta strain COVID-19 outbreaks throughout Australia. With new COVID-19 activity in QLD, NSW, VIC, WA & NT it’s understandable that our community is experiencing some concern. All those who have travelled to Tasmania from high risk areas have been asked to self-isolate and get tested. All travellers to Tasmania now need to register their travel and pass border patrol checks before they may enter, ...and those from high risk areas will be denied entry. Please be assured that OneCare remains ready to respond immediately to any Public Health advice, should any changes occur in relation to Tasmania’s COVID-19 status. At this stage, there are no known cases of the virus in Tasmania, however we must continue to be vigilant. It is a timely reminder to us all to avoid becoming complacent in our COVID protections, as they are essential to protecting our loved ones in the aged care system. It is a requirement that anyone showing signs or symptoms of illness stay at home and get tested. We will publish further updates throughout all our communication channels as they occur. Please click the following link to see more detail regarding current restrictions, via an alert from the Director of Public Health for Residential Aged Care Providers. https://onecare.org.au//COVID-19-Aged-Care-Update-_2806202
