A big thanks to the players and parents for supporting the tournament and Tennis World staff for organizing an action-packed two days of tennis! 12.01.2022 Social League Players wanted!! Tennis World Launceston is currently seeking more players for both our Tuesday and Thursday morning doubles league competitions. Both leagues commence at 9:00 AM weekly and run in line with school terms, with four rosters each year. The format is best of three sets, with matches generally finishing between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM and we can partner you up with an existing player in the roster who requires a partner! The cost to play in either ...league for non members is $12.50 per time you play ($5.00 to be a fill in - playing league competitions is inclusive for most Tennis World membership levels). 12.01.2022 Tennis World Launceston is pleased to announce that we will be re-opening from Monday 18th May, with strict social distancing measures in place we will be initially offering free public court hire during business hours (for a maximum of four people per court), private and group coaching lessons. 10.01.2022 Social League is back for term 3!! If you are interested in playing competitive Tennis weekly Tennis World Launceston offers a variety of social competitions including; Monday Night UTR A Grade Singles: 6:00PM - 7:00PM (Cost - $10.00 Per Week for non-members).... Tuesday Night B Grade Singles: 7:00PM - 8:30PM (Cost - $12.50 Per Week for non-members). Monday Night A Grade runs weekly throughout the year (between February through to December), with a final playoff round contested at the end of the season to determine ladder positions. Monday Night A Grade also uses the Universal Player Rating system (UTR), a player rating system that provides a single, unifying language and standard for tennis players across all ages more information can be found about UTR here: https://www.myutr.com/ Our Social Tuesday Night League roster spans the duration of school terms (mostly 8-10 weeks of consecutive match play), with four rosters held throughout the year, with a final playoff round for ladder positions at the conclusion of each roster. Each roster has a minimum two-week break in between each roster concluding and resuming during school holidays. 08.01.2022 140 matches on day 3!! With 2 days of rain, it was always going to be a challenge to complete the Bell Bay Junior Championships in 1 day. Thanks to all parents and players for their cooperation, we eventually completed 140 matches in one day, finishing the tournament at 10:00pm Saturday night. ... Well done to all athletes who participated in the event! A special congratulations to our 2020 Pardey Shield Winners. Sam Edger and Alicia Dale Both finals were played at the highest quality, given the fact all players had played in more than 8 matches during the day!

04.01.2022 Cardio Tennis is back! From tonight we are resuming Cardio Tennis after a few months off and for this week only sessions will be FREE! (usually $15.00 per session for non-members). We currently accept walk-ins, however, class sizes are capped at 10 people, arrive early to avoid missing out! Session times are as follows: Wednesday's from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Thursday's from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM... ** More new session times to be announced soon! 01.01.2022 Congratulations to Team Sheppard who have won the Term 4 Tassie Junior League! The final between Team Sheppard and Team Cocker was very tight, with a single point separating the two teams on overall games won on the night!! Well done to Team Richardson and Team Gower who finished 3rd and 4th respectively. We had a great group of 20 players this term and we will be aiming to recruit more players for Term 1 2021, with registration information to be released in January!
