25.01.2022 Sometimes we reflect on all of our responsibilities at home, school, work, and church and wonder how we can achieve a balance among the many competing demands o...n our time. Instead of driving ourselves crazy trying to do everything at the same time, we should identify the few fundamental things that are our highest priorities. We then can strive to give each of them the attention they needone at a time. When you are at home, choose to make home the priority. When you are at school, choose to make school the priority. When you are at work, choose to make work the priority. When you are worshipping at home or at church, choose to make worship the priority. It may sound simplistic, but we should not get frustrated and waste effort and time trying to achieve a perfect equilibrium among all of the important things we need to do. As we pray sincerely for God’s help to identify what matters most, He will guide and assist us to focus our efforts day by day.

19.01.2022 #GiveThanks A grateful heart, then, comes through expressing gratitude to our Heavenly Father for His blessings and to those around us for all that they bring into our lives. A prayerful life is the key to possessing gratitude. Do material possessions make us happy and grateful? Perhaps momentarily. However, those things which provide deep and lasting happiness and gratitude are the things which money cannot buy: our families, the gospel, good friends, our health, our abiliti...es, the love we receive from those around us. They said that feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it". Therefore I am expressing my gratitude to Our Heavenly Father for the many blessings that He has given us. For giving us His only begotten son Jesus Christ who atoned us of our sins. I am thankful for my family for there love and support. I am thankful for all my friends. I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for everything that is happening to my life. To find the most important day in history, we must go back to that evening almost 2,000 years ago in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus Christ knelt in intense prayer and offered Himself as a ransom for our sins. It was during this great and infinite sacrifice of unparalleled suffering in both body and spirit that Jesus Christ, even God, bled at every pore. Out of perfect love, He gave all that we might receive all. His sup...ernal sacrifice, difficult to comprehend, to be felt only with all our heart and mind, reminds us of the universal debt of gratitude we owe Christ for His divine gift. Later that night, Jesus was brought before religious and political authorities who mocked Him, beat Him, and sentenced Him to a shameful death. 15.01.2022 When we ponder the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, what do we see? Those who find a way to truly behold the Man find the doorway to life’s greatest joys and the balm to life’s most demanding despairs. So, when we are encompassed by sorrows and grief, behold the Man. When we feel lost or forgotten, behold the Man. When we are despairing, deserted, doubting, damaged, or defeated, behold the Man.... He will comfort us. He will heal us and give meaning to our journey. He will pour out His Spirit and fill our heart with exceeding joy. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. When we truly behold the Man, we learn of Him and seek to align our lives with Him. We repent and strive to refine our natures and daily grow a little closer to Him. We trust Him. We show our love for Him by keeping His commandments and by living up to our sacred covenants. In other words, we become His disciples. His refining light saturates our souls. His grace uplifts us. Our burdens are lightened, our peace deepened. When we truly behold the Man, we have the promise of a blessed future that inspires and upholds us through the bends and bumps in life’s journey. Looking back, we will recognize that there is a divine pattern, that the dots really connect. As we accept His sacrifice, become His disciple, and finally reach the end of our earthly journey, what will become of the sorrows we have endured in this life? They will be gone. The disappointments, betrayals, persecutions we have faced? Gone. The suffering, heartache, guilt, shame, and anguish we have passed through? Gone. Forgotten. 15.01.2022 MAN’S DECISION THAT RIPPLES BEYOND HIS OWN BORDERS. By Anthony A. Ramirez When I was serving on a mission in Manila way back in 1986-1988, crossing paths and ge...tting to know deeper with fellow missionaries had been a great spiritual experience for any missionary whose testimony is, to a certain degree, dependent on those of the peers. One testimony-building story I was shared with is that of Bro Ed Dichoso whose peculiar experience is firing my imagination that urges me to write a little about his ordeal when at 18 years of age his desire to serve the Lord was stirred up by other-worldly power. Ed’s spiritual preparation to serve the Lord was not without an ex-factor that could be considered as a stumbling block to his earnest desire to go on a mission. Ed was a privileged scholar in the largest private, non-sectarian school of Mindanaothe University of Mindanao, Davao City, a 3rd-year BS Mechanical Engineering student, and to imagine the distance between this university and his residence in Marbel, South Cotabato, which is a 2-4 hour commute, would give us a glimpse of how his early circumstances had groomed him to be a fine missionary. The real test of his audacity was when he decided to ask for the blessing of his father’s approval to discontinue his scholarship in order to go on a mission. Such a decision is outrageously foolish from the standpoint of a non-member and his father, upon hearing it from Ed, shared what everybody else would expect as a natural reaction. Heavy-hearted, he stumbled across a scripture passage in Matt 10: 37-38 that says He that loveth his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me He that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. This struck a note of warning that overwhelmed Ed completely the resolve to go for his decision with the prospect of his father’s strong objection notwithstanding. To avoid complications, he followed his gutthe dictates of the Spirit, albeit surreptitiously. Not long after that, he received his call to serve in the Phils Manila Mission. Fearlessly, Ed confronted his father only to be surprised that his Dad was just testing the intensity of his aspiration. Ed’s trying saga has struck a chord with those who can relate, and it concluded with a happy ending as his father did not show a run-of-the-mill support for his mission. Right after serving an honorable mission Ed didn’t fail what every father would want for his childrento pursue a college degree but Ed changed his course from engineering to nursing. Hence, we can never question the wisdom behind sending missionaries at an age where they are but halfway to their college years. Post-mission life can offer an RM a clearer picture of his future. After 4 years, he finished his college degree and became a successful registered nurse. Even in Melbourne, Australia he is continuously reaping the fruits of his labors in the missionthe indescribable blessings of a happy family man, and because of this his siblings followed his good example and had served as well on their respective missions a multiplication of blessings that rippled from a humble beginninga fearless decision to thrust in the sickle with might and strength.

03.01.2022 On August 21, 1976 at the age of 9 on a cool cloudy day in Marbel South Cotabato, I was baptized by my Father in the meeting house of Marbel Branch. Friday 21...st of August 2020 marks my 44 years as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Served a fulltime mission at the age of 19 in Philippines Manila and Cebu East Mission on Sept. of 1986- Nov. of 1988. Returned to School after my mission and became a Registered Nurse at the age of 25. Married in Manila Temple at the age of 30 on January 8, 1997 to a beautiful woman who is an RM from Leyte by the name of Jean Carlos. I am bless with 5 gorgeous kids and a cute grand daughter of my firstborn. We're now living in Melbourne Australia for 12 years. I have received many blessing as well as trials in my life as an RM and seen many changes in my membership and how the restoration has continued in the growth of the truthfulness of the gospel. In 1976 President Spencer W Kimball was president of the Church Nathan Eldon Tanner first counselor and Marion G Romney second counselor. 16 Temples operating, membership total 3,742,749. Stakes were 798. Total wards and branches 6,903. We can see how much has increased in the restoration and fulfilment of Gods work.
