25.01.2022 This Year We Reseeded Behind The Shed With Clover, Lucerne, Cocksfoot, & Rye. The Goats Enjoyed Getting To Sample A Small Section Of The Fresh New Growth A Few Days Ago. Yesterday I Was Watering The Main Section, When A Quail Chick Appeared From Under The Clover. It Stood There For Awhile Then Made It's Way Along The Back Of The Shed And Took Cover In Some Nice Thick Growth. I Haven't Seen A Quail About For Some Time, It's Great To Know They're About And Breeding.

25.01.2022 The Striated Pardalote Singing Outside The Laundry

25.01.2022 I was about to take some washing out to the clothesline, when I heard a bird singing happily close by. When I looked up I saw this little guy in a palm just outside the door. He's a Striated Pardalote and it wasn't long before his mate appeared. They were there for quite awhile probably checking for a nesting site. In the palm leaves above was a nest being tended to by a Red Browed finch. The baby swallows (from the nest outside the office) are out of there nest and sitting on the lawn mower handle and the BBQ at feeding times.

15.01.2022 After some guests left the other day, I went over to start cleaning the unit in readiness for our next lot of guests. While I was looking out of the bedroom window I noticed these two cuties playing in the garden. We have quite a few groups of baby bunnies in the house paddock at the moment. They're going to need to alert as we have also seen a fox checking out the garden area right in front of the house.

14.01.2022 It's That Time Of The Year Again! The Baby Rabbit Is One Of A Litter, Asleep Between The Last Two Bales Of Bedding Straw In The Shed. Luckily We Were Able To Stack The Hay Without Disturbing Them.

14.01.2022 My kids had a blast , they loved exploring the farm and sending time with the goats . A great way to spend a couple days away in the school holidays. It’s also close to some great beaches . Accomodation perfect for our family . Thanks again

14.01.2022 This morning, Harry asked me if I wanted to go with him to move the cows in another paddock. So we drove up to the gate we had to open to let them into the next paddock. As we got closer we could see it was already open and the cows were in the new paddock, happily eating. One of our cheeky cows managed to get it undone. A very clever girl because it's not the easiest gate to open.
