21.01.2022 We are extremely grateful for the funding that Avoca District Co-operative and Community Enterprise Foundation has provided to our TAC L2P Program. The grant will allow us to expand this fantastic driver mentor program to St Arnaud and give local youth the chance to gain a lifelong skill that will support them to access further employment and training opportunities. In addition, it will provide opportunities for members of the community to get involved as driver mentors and... have a positive influence on the life of a local young person. Jane Moriarty - CGLLEN Acting Executive Officer Commitment to our local community is a fundamental part of who we are. That’s why we are proud to contribute $5,000 towards the TAC L2P Program in St Arnaud. Together we make great things happen Find out more. Call us on 5461 4384

03.01.2022 NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. NAIDOC originally stood for ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’. This committee was once responsi...ble for organising national activities during NAIDOC Week and its acronym has since become the name of the week itself. To find out what events are available in your area or online, go to the NAIDOC website: https://www.naidoc.org.au/get-involved/naidoc-week-events We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, the Dja Dja Wurrung people, and we pay our respect to the elders past, present and emerging. The Dja Dja Wurrung people have been custodians of this land for many centuries, and have performed age old ceremonies of celebration, ritual and renewal. We acknowledge their living culture and their unique role in the life of this region. We express our gratitude that we share this land together, our sorrow for some of the cost of that sharing, and our hope and belief that we can move to a place of equity, justice and partnership together. #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC
