Come down to Ray Owen from 2-4pm on Sunday 13 September to get a taste of the great sport with loads of fun activities and the obligatory Aussie sausage sizzle. 22.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came along to the Annual General Meeting last Monday night. The club is pleased to announce that following the election of officer bearers the 2020/21 committee will comprise; President: No nomination... Vice-President: No nomination Treasurer: Scott Smith Secretary: Murray Adams Registrar: Suzie Zuber Uniform Coordinator: Natalie Newton Assistant Secretary: Gary Warden Social Coordinator: Gary Warden General Committee: Santino Giancono, Michael Ferritto, Liz Hobbs, Paula Rafferty, Tom Johnson. Welcome to the new members of the committee and thank you for volunteering your time to support the club and our kids. Although we haven't been able to find volunteers to take on the roles of President or Vice-President, one of the above committee members has indicated that they would take on the role of President for the 2020/21 season. The role of Vice-President remains unfilled but this gives an opportunity for someone who may be interested in getting involved and to potentially 'learn the ropes' during the upcoming season. If anyone is interested in finding out more about the role of Vice-President please contact me to discuss further. Our next committee meeting will be on Monday 13th July from 7pm where the above will be formalised details will be distributed through email and our social media forums. Kind regards Murray

21.01.2022 Another photo from the U14 pre-match barefoot circle this morning to mark NAIDOC week. The circle was made by aboriginal students at Mazenod. Really beautiful. Thanks again to Sarah Feeney for leading the pre-match event.

21.01.2022 Just a gentle reminder that registrations are now open for the 2020/21 cricket season. We were pleased to see a number of new families come along for our Registration Day last Saturday. You can register online at playcricket.com.au, or submit your registration via email or post from now until the 18th of September. ... Once you have registered we will send you a welcome pack which will include more information and access to the uniform order form. Don't forget that we offer discounted membership for siblings and the children of coaches and committee members. Contact the registrar for details before you register. To be guaranteed of having the correct uniform by the first cricket match, uniform orders will be closing on 18th September. Orders will be accepted after this, but we can’t guarantee they will have arrived in time for the first game. Registration Day is a great opportunity to come and try on uniforms, look at discontinued stock and place orders.



19.01.2022 We hope that everyone is looking forward to the upcoming season as much as we are! We are still awaiting confirmation of dates for the season, however we are looking to run our Registration Day in late August, with the season launch mid-October, before games commence in late October. We hope to be able to communicate exact dates very soon. Our next committee meeting is scheduled for Monday 10th August from 7.00pm and will be held at the Ray Owen Reserve Clubrooms. 14.01.2022 Registrations are now open for the 2020/21 cricket season. Hopefully all of our young cricketers from last year are keen to return to the cricket field this season! We will have our regular Junior Competition for U/10s through to U/17s, as well as the Junior Blasters (5-7 yrs), Master Blasters (7-10 yrs) and the All Girls Cricket League. Our REGISTRATION DAY is being held on Saturday the 29th of August from 10am-12 noon at the Mazenod College Gymnasium, Lesmurdie. The newsletter hopefully gives players, parents and families some closure to the 2019/20 season, which ended so unusually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There is a President's Report, season reports from each of the coaches for their teams, a list of award/trophy winners, and other information as well.... Thanks to our Vice President Santino Giancono who has coordinated and collated this terrific newsletter and thank you to all contributors, particularly coaches, many of whom have been extremely busy with other commitments due to the pandemic. 07.01.2022 The club rooms will be open tomorrow and Sunday mornings for our U13, U17 and Blasters games, so why not bring down some of that recycling to place in our dedicated blue and green bins. The money raised from every eligible container deposited at the club goes back to the club for new gear and our girls cricket program.
