22.01.2022 Beautiful weather, beautiful people, beautiful location. Perfect combo for a weekday walk away from the crowds. We passed maybe 10 people all up and had the beach to ourselves while enjoying a delicious morning tea and great conversation. Next year I plan on running regular weekday walks. Let me know if you’re interested and help me make this happen. There will be deals in place for regular clients

19.01.2022 Still some spots available for this one. We had a fabulous time when we did this last Sunday - great walk, delicious lunch and wonderful company. Book now at www.letstakeawalk.com.au

18.01.2022 What a fabulous idea! Especially in the current climate. Peta’s classes are top notch and she knows how to motivate you. I can personally recommend her

18.01.2022 The more I walk among them, the more fascinated I become with trees and the way they communicate, the energy and life they give and interconnectedness they have with the rest of the forest, and with us

17.01.2022 Yesterday I returned from hiking the Green Gully Track in the Oxley Wilds River NP. It was everything I thought it would be and more; challenging, rugged, stunning, fun and a total connection with nature. Here are some pictures from day 1. I can’t possibly put them all up in one post as I want to share so much of it. So I’ll post a day at a time. Thank you to the amazing, competent, adventurous, funny, wild women who I shared the journey with. It was a special one

13.01.2022 Day 2 Green Gully Track - down, down, down the ridge line and into the gully.

12.01.2022 2 spots have just become available for this Sunday if anyone is looking for a hike. Send me a message if keen Rach

11.01.2022 This is how I hope to live out my days. How inspirational are Bryan and Jan!!

09.01.2022 This is my friend Nadine - I recently finished one of her books, her autobiography, and towards the end I found myself sobbing in the laundry as I connected to various aspects of her life and her journey. She has a way of getting into your psyche and healing parts of yourself you thought were long buried. Well soon she will be releasing a children’s book in collaboration with brilliant Australian artist, Sian Naylor. A very cleverly written reflection on the issues our young people are faced with in today’s society. I can’t say anymore than this, but if you think you’d like to find out more, follow her page and get to know her while she’s finalising her book. And yes I’m allowed to post this here because she loves hiking as well

08.01.2022 Cowan to Brooklyn today, 13.5km with some pretty decent ups and downs. Today’s group moved well, making really good time while still taking time to stop and soak it all in, including the beautiful sunshine. Lunch overlooking the Brooklyn Dam was a highlight and a great place to rest in the shade before our final descent into Brooklyn and some much deserved Gelato! We had many supermodel poses and a group who gelled well together. As a guide I felt really happy with the whole day. Thank you ladies and see you on the next leg of the GNW

08.01.2022 Day 3 on the Green Gully Track - River day. Not a lot of elevation gain or loss but 13.5km of hiking beside, across and through the river. We saw two black snakes and one rock wallaby (can you spot it?). The river wasn’t very high so at most we were knee deep and at times that meant knee deep in sucking mud. The track isn’t always obvious but working together we always found our way.

03.01.2022 And the last day of hiking on the Green Gully Track started with 3km up, up, up with 600m elevation. That sure gave the legs a good workout and there was still another 14.5km to go. This day was mostly fire trails and joined the trail we came in on the first day, so it was a little bit monotonous after a few hours. However the promise of the Cedar Creek Lodge with a warm shower, cold beer and some previously stashed food spurred us on to completion. It was such a good feeling to reach the farm gate and to reflect upon the stunning, challenging, fun, funny journey we’d just undertaken. I highly recommend this walk, and am happy to chat to anyone interested in doing it.
