15.01.2022 Who here loves pole dance as much as I do? I did it a few years ago and this year I decided to get back to it. I was sure the I’ll get back to it quickly, magically and easily but let me tell you getting back to it was actually hard.. physically and mentally, I had to rebuild the strength, endurance and flexibility all over again. ... All of a sudden I felt like a newbie, I felt frustrated that I wasn’t the same like a few years ago or that I wasn’t the best anymore (I know you can relate the this feeling ) However, I felt it all and kept showing up. That’s were accepting were you’re at was really helpful. I Secretly kept telling to myself during classes that it’s ok to not be the best, that it’s not always supposed to be effortless and that I can do this. I just need to build it up step by step, practice by practice and keep climbing up. And so I did, and I got stronger, physically and mentally and had so much fun on the way we always start somewhere and an expert was always a beginner once. 01.01.2022 Self-acceptance I was always afraid that if I would be ok with myself and whatever I already achieved I’ll stop achieving/striving/becoming my best-self so I have to keep being constantly dissatisfied or unhappy with myself. I need to shoot down every complement, minimise any achievement and just keep the hard work going to concur the next mountain .That wasn’t too fun or made me anymore confident or happy. In other words I held very tightly into the conditioned belie...f that I am not good enough and nothing I do is enough. I actually hear my clients and friends tell me that phrase about themselves in a 100 different ways but the meaning stays the same I can’t accept myself, my circumstances or the people around me just as they are. In my own journey I discovered something .. bit different What self-acceptance does is to actually open up more possibilities of succeeding because you aren’t constantly fighting yourself along the way. Pretty cool hey? Give yourself the freedom (that you may never had ) where YOU get to decide what is good enough. Let it be your body, study, career, relationships or just life in general right now you are exactly where you need to be, enjoy the view and don’t forget to reward yourself for the journey and everything you already are.
