25.01.2022 2020 was a record year for the Townsville RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Air Ambulance service, with 341 critical missions flown. In the past year LifeFlight’s jet fleet underwent a major expansion, adding three Challenger 604 aircraft to its fleet. "The Challenger 604 aircraft is the longest-range aeromedical jet available for immediate emergency deployment in Australia," RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Air Ambulance Pilot Anthony McKenna said.... 18.01.2022 The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter is one of only a few in Australia, equipped and crewed to perform long-distance, offshore rescues at night. Every detail of this aircraft is specifically designed for emergency response operations and other special missions from the positioning of the grab rails and handles, to the fully integrated technology and capability such as SAR Modes, Auto Hover and FLIR. https://fb.watch/3gqkIz2nTe/

17.01.2022 In 2020, LifeFlight responded to over 6,000 medical emergencies, ranging from cardiac conditions to motor vehicle accidents, serious illnesses and search and rescue events. 11.01.2022 The LifeFlight Coordination Centre handles more than 40,000 phone calls and 2500 complex aeromedical retrievals by our helicopter and jet air ambulance fleets each year. Vital to all of LifeFlight’s operations, our Coordination Centre also offers a valuable array of resources to external clients, from complete flight coordination and tasking to telephone medical advisory services (TMAS). 11.01.2022 With support and donations from the community, LifeFlight’s chopper, jet and medical crews have helped more than 60,000 people. Partnering with Land Rover, to launch the Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission chopper, will enable us to service more Australian communities, across land, air and sea.



07.01.2022 One day since launching, the Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter has been put straight to work; called to its very first mission, earlier today. It was tasked by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority to search for a beacon, which had been activated... Thankfully, the crew was able to find the source and all was well!

06.01.2022 It’s Doctor Training Week at the LifeFlight Training Academy, and the new LifeFlight recruits are making a splash into their practical training sessions. Yesterday, the group conquered LifeFlight’s Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), becoming certified in how to escape from a submerged aircraft. The LifeFlight Training Academy hosts Doctor Training Week twice a year, to provide rigorous aeromedical training for each new intake of doctors.
