Just 5 minutes after the lockdown restrictions were announced on Wednesday in SA, we received a call from our couple Gabi and Lloyd - due to get married today 20th Nov 2020. They said they wanted to get married to each other that evening.... We said HECK YES - what time and where? 12.01.2022 We werent satisfied with just a Top 9, so we put together a Top 180 moments from all 45 weddings we had the privilege of capturing in 2019. When Chris first showed this to me I couldnt help but tear up (maybe a lot). The love and joy that shines through every one of our couples is so heartwarming and it is amazing to relive all the incredible moments we have captured over the past 12 months. Much like everyone else closing out the decade, we have been reflecting on where... we were 10 years ago (eager creative little teenagers not knowing how we would pursue our dreams of living a life we love surrounded by adventure, music and each other), and we are stunned to see how far weve come. We are so humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to make memories last forever, having this small part to play in our couples story gives us such joy and meaning. This year (like every year) has its ups and downs for everyone, so for us to pass on the ability to look back at these joyful moments in time, witnessing families coming together, emotions running high, is not something we take for granted. So thank you, to our amazing couples, for choosing us to join you in your epic adventures. It means the world to us, and we wish you every happiness because you deserve it! Thank you also to all the wonderful suppliers we have had the joy of working with this year, especially our fellow photographers (whom we spend most of the wedding days with!). 02.01.2022 We weren’t satisfied with just a Top 9, so we put together a Top 180 moments from all 45 weddings we had the privilege of capturing in 2019. When Chris first showed this to me I couldn’t help but tear up (maybe a lot). The love and joy that shines through every one of our couples is so heartwarming and it is amazing to relive all the incredible moments we have captured over the past 12 months. Much like everyone else closing out the decade, we have been reflecting on where... we were 10 years ago (eager creative little teenagers not knowing how we would pursue our dreams of living a life we love surrounded by adventure, music and each other), and we are stunned to see how far we’ve come. We are so humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to make memories last forever, having this small part to play in our couple’s story gives us such joy and meaning. This year (like every year) has its ups and downs for everyone, so for us to pass on the ability to look back at these joyful moments in time, witnessing families coming together, emotions running high, is not something we take for granted. So thank you, to our amazing couples, for choosing us to join you in your epic adventures. It means the world to us, and we wish you every happiness because you deserve it! Thank you also to all the wonderful suppliers we have had the joy of working with this year, especially our fellow photographers (whom we spend most of the wedding days with!). It’s always a great time working alongside like minded people and businesses who strive to make our couples’ day just that little more special and memorable.
