18.01.2022 Check out these vibrant, chemical-free vegies, all grown locally and up for grabs this Saturday at our market from 9 til 12 at Anderson Park. If you want the f...reshest, tastiest and most nutrient dense vegies and you happen to get to the market too late to snap these ones up, you can always try your hand at growing some yourself with the vegie seedlings on offer at the market too! It's now the time to start planning your spring garden. If eating and/or growing vegies isn't your thing, then come and grab a protein heavy breakfast from Lion's Club or some delicious dumplings from Young and Ivy! There will also be some beautiful knitted-wear, natural beauty products, local honey, timber works and more. So come down and get amongst it all (at an acceptable covid safe distance) on Saturday morning! See more

17.01.2022 Come and enjoy a chilly start to the weekend this Saturday, 9-12 at Anderson Park for the Young and Region Farmers’ Market, where the produce is as fresh as the... morning air. Grab a warm bite and a hot beverage to accompany you as you peruse the local goods that are on offer. This week sees the return of even more of our regulars to the market scene, so take advantage of the variety while you can, because who knows what tomorrow may bring. For your safety we have a COVID policy in place so please be aware of social distancing and good hygiene practices and let’s keep the wheels of commonsense turning. See more

16.01.2022 Lions Club of Young Quilt Show Update: ‘It is with regret that the Lions Club of Young have made the difficult decision to cancel the Annual Quilt Show that was to have been held on 19 & 20 September 2020. We have made this decision due to the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19 and the concern for our Members, Stallholders and our Community.... For those who purchased raffle tickets in our Quilt Raffle that were sold earlier in the year, please be assured that your tickets are safe and will be included in the draw at the 2021 Lions Club of Young Quilt Show.’ Our Club hopes the Quilt Show will be moving onward and upward in 2021.

14.01.2022 Congratulations DG Stuart

10.01.2022 Did you know that Australian Lions Hearing Dogs can be placed in homes where there are cats, birds and other animals? The only home they can't be placed into i...s where there is another resident dog. Our dogs are trained to alert to sounds, at our training centre, with our resident cats and birds. Those that show the aptitude to work past these distractions are then allocated to recipients that have other pets.

08.01.2022 Come and experience the colour and vibrancy of the market for yourself. See you tomorrow from 9am-12pm at Anderson Park. #youngandregionfarmersmarket #farmersmarket #hilltopsregion #supportlocal #farmfresh #buildingconnections

08.01.2022 Words from our new District Governor

07.01.2022 This September, Lions clubs are raising awareness of childhood cancer. Since its inception in 2009, Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation (ALCCR...F), with the help of people just like you, has raised over $10 million dollars for childhood cancer research and has supported countless Australian organisations leading the fight against childhood cancer. Of particular significance has been the partnership with Garvan Institute of Medical Research, where ALCCRF and Lions Clubs International helped to fund the genome sequencing of 400 children with high risk cancer, allowing for more tailored treatment plans to be developed and giving kids with cancer a better chance at recovery and the childhood they deserve. https://alccrf.lions.org.au/lions-kids-cancer-genome-proje/
