13.01.2022 Have you ever read the British children's book, 'The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe' by CS Lewis? Its the magical story of four World War II evacuee siblings, sent to a remote country house to escape the city bombings, who walk through an enchanted wardrobe and find themselves in the magical land of Narnia. When they get there it's the middle of a long, never ending winter; a spell cast by The White Queen, an evil witch who rules Narnia cruelly. The children soon meet talking... animals and dwarves. The animals tell the children how the The White Witch has made it 'always winter and never Christmas' in Narnia, as the story is based in the northern hemisphere, where (unlike here in Australia) Christmas is in winter time, chilly and snowy. Well I feel a bit like that in South Australia right now!! Always winter and never Christmas!! It's the last day of the first month of Spring and it's freezing!! But I'm thankful that I can work from home as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and not have to venture out every morning in the 'never ending winter' to go to work. I can work my own hours, direct my own schedule and take a break when I need to.
