25.01.2022 AHA (WA) backs Liberals $200m election commitment to boost the number of apprentices and trainees in Western Australia by 20,000.

24.01.2022 We congratulate BHP on their new training initiative supporting local jobs in Western Australia. This will work well with the Liberals $200 million Local Apprenticeship Plan that commits to provide up to $10,000 for small businesses that take on an apprentice. This will employ 20,000 new apprentices and trainees, including to reskill or upskill those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

24.01.2022 So many small businesses in WA are entertainment venues which employ so many West Australians. Having been closed down once, no one wants to see that happen again. A lot of businesses would not survive a second shutdown, so let’s help them keep their doors open by staying COVID safe.

23.01.2022 The extension of Roe Highway will create safer roads by removing large trucks off Leach Highway and provide drivers with a reason to stop rat-runs past homes, local parks and schools. This extension will bypass 15 sets of traffic lights, saving travel time and removing the current stop-start traffic, a major contributing factor to road accidents.

22.01.2022 White Ribbon Day is your opportunity to bring people together to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men’s violence against women. I encourage you to stand up, speak out and act to end gendered violence. #EndGenderedViolence #whiteribbonaus #whiteribbonaustralia #WhiteRibbonDay #EndingCycleOfViolence

20.01.2022 It has been a privilege to have led the Liberal Party, and I thank all West Australians for your support. To my electorate of Scarborough, I will continue to campaign for your local issues and represent you to the best of my ability. This is not goodbye but rather a start to the next great chapter.

18.01.2022 Fantastic work by OzFish Unlimited and all the volunteers. Well done.

16.01.2022 With COVID-19 our local artists need support more than ever. Yet again this Labor Government has abandoned our local artists and sent another contract over east. Under the Liberals, local means local.

15.01.2022 Christmas is such a special time of year. Here in WA we have the benefit of being able to get outdoors with family and friends. Let us know what you are looking forward to this Christmas.

14.01.2022 Only a Liberal Government will provide a No Asset Sale Guarantee on energy assets owned by the people of Western Australia.

14.01.2022 It promises to be an exciting conclusion to the WAFL season in today’s grand final at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. Best of luck to Claremont and South Fremantle as they face off against each other to decide the 2020 premiership. With a sell-out crowd in attendance, the atmosphere will be electric to mark the end of a challenging season for all clubs.

13.01.2022 All the best to the West Coast Eagles tonight in their elimination final clash with Collingwood at Optus Stadium. COVID-19 has presented huge challenges during the 2020 season, so it is a tribute to the resilience of the Eagles players and coaches to overcome these hurdles and still earn a home final in front of their loyal fans. Keep the premiership dream alive!

13.01.2022 Here is another example of contracts not being awarded to local WA businesses and profits going overseas. Under the Liberals, local means local.

12.01.2022 I hope you all get the chance to relax this long weekend and spend some quality time with family and friends. 2020 has been a very challenging year, so it is so important we look after our loved ones. Make the most of the time off.

12.01.2022 Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA supports Liberals $200m election commitment to boost the number of apprentices and trainees in Western Australia by 20,000.

10.01.2022 About to go on Perth Live with Oliver Peterson on Radio 6PR.

10.01.2022 The Premier needs to show more compassion and be more transparent with travel exemptions for those Western Australians trapped interstate and overseas so families have some certainty, especially in the lead up to Christmas. We are all in this together and all West Australians deserve to return home.

09.01.2022 Westport Stage 2 Outcomes 2020 confirms that the construction of a port in Kwinana will have an environmental impact on Cockburn Sound. This project will cost West Australians $4 billion to $4.7 billion when we have an excellent asset in the Port of Fremantle, which currently operates at only 32% capacity. Recfishwest Fish Army

08.01.2022 The Westport public report 2020 clearly shows there is no formal strategy to protect the environment in Cockburn Sound. It seems where possible is the only plan currently in place for the construction of the Kwinana Outer Harbour. #recfishwest #fisharmy

07.01.2022 Master Builders WA backs Liberals $200m election commitment to boost the number of apprentices and trainees in Western Australia by 20,000.

07.01.2022 Small businesses are one of the largest employers in Western Australia. We all need to protect our economy by staying COVID safe. If we all work together, we can protect all our local small businesses and local jobs.

07.01.2022 The Liberals Local Job Guarantee supports National Buy Aussie Day. Get out and support local businesses and keep West Australian jobs local. http://www.buyaussieday.com.au

06.01.2022 Great to spend part of this morning catching up with the ladies at Innaloo Sportsmen's Club, Inc. during their Championship Triples Tournament today. ISC is an excellent club, making great strides and with committed members. They're also holding a Community Fun Day on Sunday December 6th, with more information available on their Facebook page.

06.01.2022 I thought the hard borders were in place based on health advice to protect West Australians from COVID-19. Is the border closed for health reasons or economic reasons? The Premier needs to tell the truth.

06.01.2022 My thoughts are with the teenager believed to be missing at Scarborough Beach tonight, and I'd like to thank all the Police and emergency services members, and those in the community, who are on site assisting.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to the Scarborough football club for winning the Perth Football League A-Grade premiership.

05.01.2022 It sounds like the Premier is basing his decisions on the border around economic rationale now. I thought the hard borders were in place based on health advice to protect West Australians from COVID-19. This is a major shift in policy from Mr McGowan and a glaring insight into his thinking and decision-making.... Is the border closed for health reasons or economic reasons? The Premier needs to tell the truth.

05.01.2022 Yet again more than $1.25 billion worth of work going to foreign contractors. METRONET is a West Australian project delivered by foreign-led multinationals.

04.01.2022 Mark McGowan yesterday was running an economic protectionist argument in favour of continued State border closures - economic State protectionism is explicitly prohibited in the Australian Constitution, Mathias Cormann

04.01.2022 As part of our Local Jobs Guarantee, the Liberals will provide a new two-year incentive and retention payment to encourage West Australian businesses to employ up to 20,000 apprentices and trainees. Our plan not only benefits young people it will also be available to Western Australians who want to reskill or upskill, including those impacted by COVID-19.

02.01.2022 As some of you may have heard, the body of Matiyas Bekuretsion was found at Trigg beach this evening. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Matiyas’s family and friends during this difficult time, and once again thank all those involved in the search for him.

02.01.2022 Our Liberal team is committed to creating local jobs for West Australians. This commitment will not only help our youth but also help older West Australians reskill or upskill, including those impacted by COVID-19.
