25.01.2022 The term "Swap Meet" came about in the late 40s, early 50s and became more popular mid 50s. Traditionally they were for bartering only. Someone would announce a date and time and people in the community would gather to swap items. Nowadays they have evolved into more like markets where stall holders sell and public buy.

20.01.2022 Hi guys... Hope you're all safe and well :-) Due to Covid 19 still lurking around at this stage it's still uncertain as to whether Longford Swap Meet will run in October... Hopefully things will have settled by then. We'll keep you posted :-)

13.01.2022 **Expressions Of Interest - Stall Holders Wanted** Old Time Swap Meets is running a vintage swap meet on Sunday 29th December 2019 at the gorgeous Longford Hall grounds. 10 mins out of Sale. Longford-Loch Sport Road, Longford VIC 3851... If youd like a stall please message us on here or email: [email protected] Vintage, collectables, antiques, auto and general welcome... No animal traps, no fire arms, knives under lock and key Stall holders from 7am, $20 stalls General public from 8am - 1pm, $2 entry fee for adults Lets bring back life to beautiful old things and help by recycling while were at it :-)

12.01.2022 Thanks so much to the stall holders and patrons for coming yesterday :-) A little smaller than expected but its our first one and well only grow from here :-) Amendment to the size of stalls... As a stall holder when you drive in just leave a gap between you and the previous vehicle for the space you think youll need... Were aware that some stall holders have larger vehicles and/or more stuff to sell. Its a big oval, well fit you in. Thanks again guys for your support and another one will be run later in the new year... Happy New Year to everyone for tomorrow night :-)

11.01.2022 Pretty sad for some this morning to wake up on New Years Day to no home :-( It is so beautiful that all of the communities are rallying together to help out. On a personal note weve chipped in but also wanted you guys to know that proceeds from the swap meet have helped to buy much needed items... Come on rain!! xo

We thought wed share our love of vintage etc and the thrill of the hunt searching for treasures by introducing more swap meets to the Gippsland area...
