09.01.2022 UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your donations! You have helped us distrubute funds to emergency assistance for fire-affected animals here's what you've helped achieve: Our partners at Animals Australia have chartered a flight for specialist vets to enter fire-ravaged areas. Dr Elaine Ong and Dr Chris Barton have flown in with life-saving drugs and medical supplies to help fire-affected animals in Mallacoota and Tallangata in Victoria. They arrived Sunday night and have be...en working around the clock with wildlife carers. In the last 24 hours their focus has turned to the kangaroos and their joeys, as there are many in need of urgent help. Dr Ong managed to send this photo of a couple of the lucky ones receiving the love and care they need. You have also helped us to distribute funds to SAVEM (South Australian Veterinary Emergency Management) who have sent specialist vets to badly-hit Kangaroo Island in South Australia (a third of the island has been burnt in the fires ) Funds have also been channeled to Vets Beyond Borders who are deploying volunteer vets to help animals in the Adelaide Hills and will extend to other areas with offers of veterinary assistance, veterinary supplies & food for hungry animals. Our partners at Animals Australia also fast tracking funds to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife to help assist wildlife carers affected by the bushfires through their grant program. We simply don’t have words for the compassion and support Australia has received worldwide. A very big thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We are beyond grateful and will continue to help raise money for rescue efforts.

08.01.2022 A very big thanks to everyone who has donated to our Australian Bushfire Appeal so far. We are beyond grateful for your support. Unfortunately it is reported that we are now bracing for more fires to come with a mega blaze in NSW that currently cannot be put out. It is heartbreaking to think that more people, homes and animals will be in danger. If you would like to extend your support please visit our website www.losethegap.com.au/our-partners and select ‘Animals Austral...ia’. Every little bit counts. Wishing for some relief leading up to Christmas. Thank you again for your kindness

01.01.2022 This little darling we named Bella lives on our street and appears to have been homeless for a very long time now. She is so skinny you can see her ribs and there’s a high chance she may have worms and fleas. We have been feeding her everyday but she is so frightened of humans it’s been impossible to get near her. We are currently trying to gain her trust and contact an animal welfare organisation in Bali to see if they can help. We will do whatever we can to get her checked out and taken in. Fingers crossed we can gain her trust so we can at least give her flea and worm treatment. In the meantime we are making sure she gets a nice big meal each day. Wish us luck!
