25.01.2022 Almost every year a bad boy like this comes out!

25.01.2022 Gotta hate it when you're missing the last piece from your jigsaw puzzle! This strange little find is one half of a pair of stud earrings. We love finding quirky objects (especially in jewellery!) that are a little bit left of field. What's the most bizarre thing you've found recently?

24.01.2022 Want a waterproof detector for $475? The new Makro Nokta Simplex+ is almost here! We are now taking $50 pre-orders, click below for more information! https://losttreasures.com.au//nokta-makro-simplex-pre-order

23.01.2022 Just a heads up that our Everton Park store is closed today for the public holiday. Back to business tomorrow In the meantime, you can shop online or drop us a line if you need anything Happy detecting!

23.01.2022 Last GPX 4500 left in Australia. We have one final new GPX 4500 now in stock. This amazing machine has sadly been discontinued by Minelab. Once this is sold, you will not be able to get any more new 4500s. https://losttreasures.com.au//gpx4500-dvt-w-seta-with-11-i

23.01.2022 Lost Treasures will be getting its Ekka on tomorrow with radio station Hit105. The team has one of our metal detectors (Equinox!) to try and find out what people have lost at the showgrounds. We will be closed Wednesday 14th as it's also public holiday here in Brisbane. See you Thursday!

22.01.2022 We thought we'd share this again to wet the appetite for the upcoming gold season. A 1.2 kg gold nugget found by one of Lost Treasures' trainers. Such an amazing feeling holding such a beast. Gives hope to us all, 2020 is the year!

22.01.2022 He's back! Catch Justin on the next episode of The Weekend Prospector this Saturday at 11AM (7Mate). This time the crew are headed to the Sunshine Coast, where they come across some interesting finds We will post the link to the episode on our website and social media after it airs on Saturday, for those who miss the broadcast.

22.01.2022 Getting ready for the World Metal Detecting Championships

21.01.2022 Possibly the last unused GPX 4500 left in Australia! Buyer had to sell due to back injury before being able to use it. 100% new condition. Comes with 2 x 11" coils (mono and DD), bonus control box cover, speaker, pan, digging tool, warranty. Incredibly hard to find as new, sadly the last of its kind.... $3995 https://losttreasures.com.au//unused-minelab-gpx4500-with-

21.01.2022 Kerry called to say she had lost the most precious item in the world to her, a gold heart shaped locket with some of her husband's ashes sealed inside. She was throwing a rope over a branch of a tree when it somehow got flung off. She was beside herself. She had looked everywhere, but to no avail. Brad, one of our trusty recovery experts went down to see if he could help. After metal detecting all around (and in) the tree it was nowhere to be found. As with most recoveries, items tend to be much further away, so he decided to go next door and have a look over the fence. Within minutes guess what was safely back in Kerry's hand? Overcome with tears of joy as her husband's ashes were back with her and secure once again. Amazing job and amazing result Brad!

21.01.2022 Our trainer Logan White (Treasure Tech) has designed an amazing new fossicking and detecting jacket, check out its introduction in the video below on a great channel Smokey Prospecting. 14.01.2022 Finally got away and had a few days up at Clermont to sneak in some gold prospecting before the heat really starts to kicks in. Ended up with almost 10 grams for the week, with 13 pieces, including a nice 4.7 and 2.4 grammer.

14.01.2022 David, A good customer of ours just shared what an acid bath can do to a half ounce nugget. Before and after pictures below! He also shared a nice story about the patch this came from, a patch that just keeps on giving: "Started as .70....ended with .50 approx, sdc... Was a spot I found my 1st nugget @, 2015 The main spot was 10x10 metre I have spent probably 150+ hrs their....from Gpz to f1a4...every coil under the sun That was dug...2months ago, 5 years after 1st bit ??) I thought it may been a sorting area (course nugs)....only took 4 years b4 the penny dropped (this is the source!)...so I'm digging down getting closer to the cap rock & still getting bits. That's where I did my apprenticeship ;) "

14.01.2022 Helen, had the unfortunate task of burying one of her dead chickens when she noticed her priceless pendant was missing! This pendant was around 100 years old and had been handed down from her husband's grandmother and potentially even further back through the family. We searched for about half an hour around the burial site but to no avail. We then broadened our search to the other areas she thought it could be but again no luck. We were just about to call it quits when I thought I'd try one last area... https://youtu.be/P_3tEPCL40Y

14.01.2022 The weather behaved for Saturday's lineup of the MDWC It's been great talking to members of the detecting community and sharing our love of this great hobby!

12.01.2022 Looking for treasure can take you to some very interesting places! Justin from Lost Treasures is pictured here at Roswell, New Mexico - the infamous 1947 crash site of an alleged flying saucer This weekend the LT crew are headed near Gympie (a little closer to home than New Mexico!) for the Metal Detecting World Championships What's the furtherest your love of treasure hunting has taken you?

11.01.2022 Being stuck at home at the moment can be a bit of a bore. That's why Bryce was over the moon when Dad brought home a metal detector for him. They went backyard treasure hunting together all afternoon! He also woke up Dad at 6am this morning desperate to go hunting again. Please let us know what you find Bryce and Brad :)

10.01.2022 Finally we put together some video and photos from last weekend at the inaugural Metal Detecting World Championships. A huge thanks to Clegy for a great event, lots of smiling faces and happy detectorists all 3 days. Congratulations to Trevor Emerson and Ramsey Lemus on becoming the Senior and Junior World Champions. Likewise to all the prize winners, especially Blake Mitchell on taking home the 10oz gold bar! Cheers to everyone that made the event the success it was, can't wait for next year! https://youtu.be/dAA7qmktShI

04.01.2022 Native Gold can appear in a myriad of ways. Some are unusual like this specimen from Grass Valley, California which almost looks like it needs a haircut!

04.01.2022 This little guy was found in a surburban backyard in Brissie (while on a recovery job). It dates back to approximately early-mid 1900s. Lead toys go back to the 18th century, but for obvious health issues they are no longer produced, which makes this a very special little find!

03.01.2022 Ancient coins weighing 460 kg found in Shaanxi, China. https://www.chinadaily.com.cn//WS5bea3daca310eff30328853b.

03.01.2022 What an amazing find for this retiree who has just taken up the hobby. Victoria's Golden Triangle, certainly deserves its name, and not just for nuggets it seems! https://nytimespost.com/amateur-metal-detector-finds-fourt/

03.01.2022 Just a heads up that we are closed this Monday for the Queen's Birthday, and will back on Tuesday for all your detecting needs In the meantime, we think a pretty good way of celebrating Her Majesty the Queen's birthday is digging up all those coins with her name on them The one pictured below is a bit too early for a silhouette of the Queen, but we also wouldn't be upset about finding more!

02.01.2022 Lost Treasures would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Thank you for all your continued support throughout 2019. May your finds be plenty and your pockets lined with gold and treasure!

02.01.2022 UPDATE: Following our previous post about free standard postage on all orders, we have just added all the products that are physically IN STOCK to the online store. That's approximately another 150 items that can be purchased straight away and mailed out, if you're on the hunt for them. Bear with us while we add images and descriptions - it's going to look a little unpretty for a couple days while we get this sorted. Any questions, drop us a line on any of our channels

02.01.2022 A recent recovery job had us looking for buried treasure, literally. A cache full of gold, silver and tens of thousands in bank notes. The distraught couple had buried their life savings in a secret secluded spot for safe keeping. The only problem was they had forgotten exactly where they had buried it! After a few hours and no luck, things were not looking good. They were adamant it was within a certain area, but we knew after careful scanning with our metal detectors it just had to be elsewhere. So we expanded our search in ever widening circles, and finally heard the signal we so desperately needed! The nervous couple were so relieved, as too were we. Great effort from our recovery expert, Craig on saving the day!

02.01.2022 Had the pleasure of seeing Minelab headquarters in Adelaide today. Including the detector test lanes, filled with different soils and sands from all over the world. They also shouted a seat at the Origin at the Adelaide Oval, GO MAROONS!

02.01.2022 Whether you're fishing, dirt fishing or channel surfing, we hope you all have an awesome long weekend Just a heads up that we are closed on Monday, for the Australia Day public holiday

01.01.2022 We were lucky enough to extensively test these amazing new machines out in the field last week and were extremely impressed! The GPX 6000 is almost here! https://youtu.be/xxdzdoUdgsU
