21.01.2022 How are your Water Ways artwork entries progressing? Entries close on 15 January 2021.... We are looking for an artistic response to water. Open to all Tasmanian artists using any medium. Be a part of this exciting exhibition! There is over $3000 in prizes with the main prize of an Artery voucher to the value of $2000 being decided by popular people’s choice vote. Enter on line at the Art Society website, www.artstas.com.au under exhibition tab or download the form and post to PO Box 403, Lenah Valley, 7008. The exhibition will be at the Long Gallery, Salamanca. Open to the public from the 5 14 February.

05.01.2022 Reminder - this is on today and tomorrow! Looks like the weather has been kind too :) Coming up soon are three beautiful open gardens which are sure to give any artist lots of inspiration. 'Eggs and Bacon Cottage' is artist (and long time HAEG stalwart) Anne Le Fevre's lovely creation.



05.01.2022 Here's Paul Thomas putting up some of the last entries in the Art In Pandemic exhibition. Remember that you only have until tomorrow at 4pm (Sunday 5th) to get your entry in to Lovett Gallery for hanging. Judging will take place on Monday.

03.01.2022 The awards have been announced for the Art In Pandemic Exhibition, which was made possible with a Rapid Response grant from the Huon Valley Council. All the works were created by Huon and Channel residents during Covid 19. Congratulations to Barbara Tassell who won Best in Show with her entry, Threads of Time, and to Pauline Rix who won the Runner Up award with Approaching Storm. The exhibition will continue online on our website and at Lovett Gallery until September 27th. Pictured with the winning work are HAEG Chair Alan Kemp and one of the judges, Sharyn Yelverton. 01.01.2022 The "Art in Pandemic" exhibition is now over, so if you have any unsold entries please collect them from the Lovett Gallery Cygnet this coming weekend (3rd and 4th October 2020). If you are a HAEG member (with your membership fees paid this year) and you would like to leave your artworks in the gallery for sale, please come in to the gallery and go through the artwork registration process with the sitter on duty. You can join HAEG or pay your annual HAEG membership fee online... - just click on the attached link. Thanks again to all who entered - there were a total of 74 entries, with a great variety of media and subjects - and 12 sold. The online gallery is still available for viewing online or Facebook. The Lovett Gallery is open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday - and just to trick you up, this weekend is also the start of daylight saving!
