19.01.2022 Hello beautiful people. We hope everyone who watched it enjoyed last night's inaugural online Poetryspective? We were super-happy about how it went given the sh...ort notice with which it was put together. Thanks to our lovely features Caroline and Denise, and those who managed to get videos into the show. We are planning to make the next one bigger and better, maybe in 2 halves like a regular Poetryspective evening. In the spirit of this we are asking for video submissions of <5 minutes to be uploaded to Dropbox for inclusion. Link at the bottom of this post. If you are able to compress your video down to around 50mb that would be really helpful and please film in landscape format. Deadline for submissions will be 11pm on the Saturday night before each gig (4th April for the next one). We will keep the running time to 2 x 45 minute sections so if we get too many we may need to pick an eclectic selection and keep some in reserve for the future. https://www.dropbox.com//sj16vl/AACcnRGfSkNeGtaRxNSjm4kFa If you missed the stream it is still available for viewing in its full glory on the link below. There is a nice live-chat option when you watch it live with everyone else but that is all you miss by watching later at your leisure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2EqiDpVdcc

17.01.2022 I am thankful and amazed by this event. We organisers run and host our gigs out of love for the craft so to be recognised is an honour. I intend to give my very best for my set so if anyone has requests PM me. I am also delighted to have two special friends Waffle Irongirl & Tim Evans featuring as well. They are both very talented with their own unique style and voice. Then my partner in life and poetry Paul Škec who I have often wished to write like will also be featuring s...o that’s pretty special and regular Poetryspective attendee, who has become the first member of the team Colin Clark will MC with his dry wit and clever mind it will be a treat. Plus the open section and I hear that there is a raffle this time. It is a strange and wonderful feeling to be featuring and not organising. Part of me still wants to organise so it is a bit of a test too. See you on Tuesday Pride of our Footscray Community Bar! Kick off at 8pm! See more

02.01.2022 Even our star celebrates the spooky season in 2014, active regions on the Sun created this jack-o'-lantern face, as seen in ultraviolet light by our Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite. Download in high resolution just in time for Halloween: http://go.nasa.gov/1P1AG84
