Elastic can create a sensory issue behind the ears like a shirt tag on the back of a shirt... so the snappy fitting allows the elastic mask to be used without irritating the back of the ears... good for hearing aid or people with glasses also. Tie masks are also available. Jack (the Ja in Lujasa ) has sensory issues and autism and has given this input in the making of these masks.
