15.01.2022 Roma on Bungil Gallery Exhibition Renowned artist Lyn Barnes would like to invite you to join her for her exhibition inspired by the work of Dorothea Mackellar. The exhibition runs from the Friday the 14th of February 2020 until Sunday 5th April 2020

13.01.2022 For the past eighteen years I have had the best framer an artist could have, Kevan Buckle from Arthouse Northside at Deagon. Today Kevan and his wife Anne start a new chapter in their lives having sold their business and I thank them for being with me for all the highs and lows of an exhibiting artist, particularly one who lives so far away. Nothing was ever too much trouble; I always knew no matter the deadline, Kevan would have my pictures framed with time to spare. So congratulations to them both and after all our viral troubles are over, we hope to see them in Quilpie!

12.01.2022 Sometimes one of the children gets to come home and the Wallumbilla Wheat Silos is my memory from the Place of Origin Exhibition. Thanks so much to everyone for all your kindnesses, birthday wishes and support - will be back at Graydon Gallery same time next year!

12.01.2022 Opening night is tonight from 6pm at Graydon Gallery, New Farm. Dont forget to book your table at Vine Restaurant for after the exhibition.

11.01.2022 Appearing in the I a Sunburnt Country Exhibition opening at the Roma on Bungil Gallery on Valentines Day (what else?), two works inspired by the line, "I love her jewel sea". Not that I see the jewel sea very much; these images come from a long ago trip Jack and I took with Kylie, Brian and a then very small Betsy Rutledge along the Great Ocean Road and I highly suspect that one of the Apostles I have painted may have since fallen into the sea!

09.01.2022 Just a reminder to come for wine and cheese (and beer) at the Lyn Barnes Gallery at 6pm Thursday 1 April to celebrate the opening of Lyn's new exhibition, "Where the Pelican Builds". Why not make a night of it? Book a table for dinner afterwards at either the Brick 46561427 or the Imperial 46561300.

08.01.2022 Happy Christmas and a Wet New Year to all! Thank you so very much for your support throughout 2019 and I look forward to catching up in 2020. My first exhibition next year will be opening at the Roma on Bungil Gallery on Valentines Day and is titled "I a Sunburnt Country". The works will reflect the legendary Dorothea Mackellar poem and by then I hope her beautiful words become reality: "But then the grey clouds gather and we can bless again, the drumming of an army, the steady, soaking rain". Cheers
