25.01.2022 Club Day and BBQ tomorrow 8am

23.01.2022 Sunday 10th Feb @9am will be a MAC working bee. Maintaining the building and surrounds isn't done by magic - it's the result of small contributions made by many members over the years. So come down on the 10th with some suitable clothes and any useful equipment, to help clean and tidy the aircraft, hangar, club house and lawns. Many thanks in advance. 23.01.2022 Wow! What a great day for the inaugural State of Origin....Murwillumbah Aero Club vs Air Gold Coast! We had 8 pilots battle it out in the skies over YMUR. Once the dust settled, AGC came out ahead. Do I hear re-match? A big thanks to Peter and the team at AGC that supplied the food and healthy competition. And, thanks to all the MAC members for pitching in and making it happen.

20.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We are going to postpone our June comp, but hoping for it to be just by a week or so, and that we'll still have a meet during June. Sorry for any inconvenience. We'll be in touch. MAC Committee http://ymur.com.au/2020/06/01/june-comp-bbq-postponed/

15.01.2022 Just a reminder that this Sunday 3rd Feb @ 8am NSW is the club BBQ and Comp Day. We've had some really well attended ones recently, so make sure you come along and enjoy the morning too! Weather according to Windy is some intermittent sprinkles, but should still be plenty of opportunity to get around the circuit...and of course nothing will stop the BBQ and chit-chat. http://ymur.com.au/2019/02/01/bbq-and-comp-day-sunday/

14.01.2022 A recent report from the airfield is that there is still a fair bit of water around, the grass is quite long, and there is significant birdlife on and around the airfield. Best to wait until conditions improve. Will provide updated reports as the situation improves.

09.01.2022 Hi All, Rest assured the comp and bbq will be on tomorrow (Sunday) morning from 8am. The weather looks hopeful for supporting our circuits. As always, the worst case is a yummy sausage and good company. See you there! http://ymur.com.au/2019/03/02/sunday-bbq-comp-is-on/

04.01.2022 The airfield is a little wet at the moment!

04.01.2022 We liked this one: One day the pilot of a Cherokee 180 was told by the tower to hold short of the active runway while a DC-8 landed at Coolangatta. The DC-8 landed, rolled out, turned around, and taxied back past the Cherokee. Some quick-witted comedian in the DC-8 crew got on the radio and said, "What a cute little plane. Did you make it all by yourself?" The Cherokee pilot, not about to let the insult go by, came back with a real zinger: "I made it out of DC-8 parts. Another landing like yours and I'll have enough parts for another one."
