25.01.2022 To our loyal customers, Due to a family emergency, we will be closed for business. We believe we will be closed until Thursday 28th May, at this point. We will keep you updated and hope to be back as soon as possible. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

22.01.2022 My husband wrote this post. Our restaurant is not just a job for us....it is a way of life. Anyone who has ever worked hospitality knows the sacrifices, we work while the rest of the world parties. We miss New Years, St. Patricks Day, Christmas, Easter with our families so you can make memories with yours. We miss our children's school plays and awards to do a job that people look down on. We are "unskilled" but we smile laugh and work hours most wouldn't dream of doing. We a...re going to go through a rough time. Reach out to your colleagues if you need to talk. Remember all the late nights/ early morning shifts and smile and say " we got through that " so we can get through this as well. We are a tough breed, we have to be to do what we do. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. Talk if you need to, be angry if you want to but keep on keepin on..... MY HUSBAND'S POST To all the Hospo workers out there. I am sorry. The general public have NO idea. I do not say this lightly but with a deep understanding of what is at risk. The people that we work with, and for, are not only respected colleagues, friends and customers. They are everything to us. We work, by necessity, and choice through the celebratory times of life. The births, the birthdays, the deaths, sometimes the funerals, always that Valentine's, Christmases and the New years. We do this with a strong sense of duty. A sense of pride! But most of all with a comradeship borne through a closeness and intimacy of each and everyone of our co-workers that is rare within any industry. We don't all love each other, but we do all respect each other and the sacrifices we ALL make. We are family. We are friends. We are lovers. We are the only support network some of us have ever known. For alot of us the only place that has ever TRUELY accepted us and our very odd social and personal idiosyncrasies. This is now in peril. What next??? I have no idea, but never underestimate the power of the huddled masses. Let's reshape our society while we have the opportunity. Let's make the people that matter feel appreciated and leave the bullshit, that lead us to this, behind us. We all have obligations and responsibilities but we also have rights and a reason to hope for more. WE ARE TOGETHER IN THIS. Lets show them what that means. Love to you all and if anyone needs anything, physically, mentally or even spiritually then reach out. I am here and so are your friends, colleagues, bosses and employees. Be good, be nice and see you all when we rise again. As we surely will.

05.01.2022 We are opening our home delivery and takeaway service from tomorrow evening, Tuesday 24th. We will be open from 4.30 EVERY EVENING and will, for your safety be serving take away orders through the side window of Madmegs, keeping contact to a minimum. We will have signs in place showing you where to collect your takeaway and our updated take away menu will be printed and laminated for hygiene reasons.
