21.01.2022 What essentials do you carry in your bag? In my hand bag I'm always carrying my essentials. My lippies, my phone, purse, tissues, reading glasses as I can't read fine print (and I read lots of fine print when shopping) and a few of my pulse point roll ons - my necessities ... Sometimes it varies which pulse point roll ons I carry with me depending on what I am feeling and needing at the time. I love carrying my little aromatherapy pocket rockets. 13.01.2022 If you haven’t already heard, there are some major transformations happening at Mahdena. A big part of this change involves closing our beautiful retail store at Norwood on Friday December 20th. Yes it is true and a little sad that we won’t be operating in this beautiful space I have called home since Mahdena’s humble beginnings in 2003. Changes in life are constant & inevitable and this has been the best choice to support my upcoming projects with the business, as well as ...balancing life outside of work. Don’t worry because Mahdena will CONTINUE to exist and operate, and our products will still be available to you. You can still easily order your custom products by email, Facebook, Instagram, text or phone. You can still buy our products online or place an order with me directly. Our products will also be available in selected places around Adelaide. I am still offering custom skincare and aromatherapy consults, and the birthday parties, but the parties will be in a different format. Do come in to the store before December 20th (next Friday - eeek) as I am offering 20% off all Mahdena products (instore and online) until this date. (Excludes custom products and excludes any products without the Mahdena logo). If product lines sell out, I may or may not replenish these, depending on time and stock availability. 12.01.2022 Is there anything that can help me with my unbearable period cramps? Dysmenorrhea is a common problem that many young teens & women experience which can cause cramping, low back pain, bloating, nausea, leg pain & fatigue to name a few. There are a number of factors that play part in a holistic approach to painful periods. We need to look at an individual's entire constitution & lifestyle as we are all very different. ... We can look at increasing foods high in magnesium to help relax smooth muscles. Eat more anti-inflammatory nutrients from foods like dark leafy greens, berries, & omega 3 EFAS ( pumpkin seeds, walnuts, flaxseeds, tofu, salmon) to help reduce PMS. Reducing sugar, dairy & carbs and eating more whole grains like barley, quinoa & whole wheat flour can help reduce the production of prostaglandins. Exercise is also a beneficial way to help increase blood flow and release endorphins, happy feel good hormones which help lessen the pain we feel. Accupuncture. Try what works for you. The whole aim is to focus on the actual cause of the cramps, which is inflammation instead of suppressing a normal functioning system of the body. As an aromatherapist my viewpoint & understanding of the application of essential oils through inhalation & massage is a proven way to provide symptom relief (nausea, pain) while also helping states of the mind such as irritability, depression & anger. We can refill your essential oil bottles, shampoo, conditioner bodywash & face toners. ... All bottles must be cleaned & air dried before refilling , with the exception of face toner bottles. Face products like face moisturisers, cream & milk cleansers & face exfoliants can’t be refilled but you can re-use your jars & bottles or recycle them.

Missing this essential part of your self care regime can make all the difference in the overall health and appearance of your skin. Daily facial cleansing not only leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed, but more importantly removes excess oil, make up, sweat, dead skin cells and pollutants that accumulate on your skin throughout the day. Today we made some sparkly organic shimmer cream for Ellie’s birthday party We went out into the sun and the girls admired & wowed over their sparkly arms Unfortunately the photo doesn’t pick up on the shine!... 03.01.2022 Hi everyone It’s been a while since I have posted. So I felt it was time to reconnect with you all during this very surreal time we are in. I have been working from home since late January. Its been so much nicer working from home, especially being more available to my kids.
