25.01.2022 More than 31,000 patients who travelled from rural and regional areas to access medical treatment in the past year have received help from a $25.9 million NSW G...overnment scheme. The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) subsidises the transport and accommodation expenses people incur when travelling at least 100km or a cumulative distance of at least 200km in a week to access specialist medical treatment. . Investment in IPTAAS has more than doubled in the last eight years under a Liberals & Nationals Government, from $12.2 million in 201112 to $25.9 million in 201819. More information about IPTAAS can be found on the NSW Health website. http://www.iptaas.health.nsw.gov.au/home
25.01.2022 To make sure we can reach as many people as possible as quickly as possible during this stressful time, we have put together a $73 million package to boost mental health services right across the community. Remember - it's ok to not be ok. #inthistogether
24.01.2022 Our community has and continues to work together to stop the spread. Now, we can begin the gradual lifting of restrictions. Commonsense in social interactions s...hould not be forgotten though, we don’t want to relapse. Please be extra careful when visiting those over 70 or loved ones with medical conditions and do not leave home if you feel unwell, except to seek medical care. #InThisTogether

13.01.2022 Such a shame that local Jenny Aitchison MP will not stand with farmers at their time of need!
10.01.2022 We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Bob Geoghegan over the weekend. Bob was a Councillor with Maitland City Council for 17 years, including a period... as Deputy Mayor. Bob also stood as a candidate for the NSW Parliament. A strong leader within the local Liberal Party and a strong advocate for the community of Maitland, he will be sadly missed. We send our thoughts and condolences to Robyn and the family at this difficult time.

07.01.2022 Mums are smart, and hard-working, and loving, and kind, and great cooks, and they give the bestest hugs ever. Happy Mother's Day to every one of our amaz...ing mums out there. The kids don't always appreciate everything you do (and the husbands almost certainly don't), but you're the glue that holds our families together. How will you show mum you love her today?
06.01.2022 Congratulations on being elected chair of Maitland Nationals Josh Angus - The Nationals!
03.01.2022 This year has presented challenges nobody could have imagined. From drought to bushfires to a global pandemic, our regional communities and the entire state has... withstood it all and we’ve still managed to get some wins. The National Party hasn’t slowed down in delivering for regional NSW, and we never will. Here is just a snippet. Take a look.
03.01.2022 This is NSW Nationals delivering for our communities. Does Jenny Aitchison MP agree with Jodi McKay MP and want to scrap these programs that help our regional communities?
03.01.2022 It's a wet start to the weekend across the Hunter. 16mm of rain has been recorded at Tocal since 9am this morning. While the rain is a welcome sight to most, i...t's important to make sure you're prepared. - Use caution on the roads as visibility is decreased and flash flooding can occur suddenly - Ensure your roof is in good repair to prevent leaks - Stay indoors if possible and make sure your pets are safe We currently have a crew in the field responding to a number of calls for assistance for leaking roofs in the Maitland & Cessnock area. If you require SES assistance, call 132500. #GetReady #NSWSES #Maitland
02.01.2022 Koala protection laws are a hot topic in state politics but, for locals in Sydney's southwest, there's a cold reality. Many have lost control over their land, l...ashing out at the government as being hypocritical. Experts say several sites have no relevance to our koala population. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
