25.01.2022 This morning, we had another great Art Class at Make It Tenterfield with our live models. We warmed up with quick 1 minute sketches, continuous line drawings, non-dominant hand drawings and blind drawings. Then we settled in for some more lengthy studies of our patient models Kanan and Zara. Much discussion was had about our emerging individual styles and unique mark making. Remember that everyone, from complete beginners to experienced artists, is welcome at these sessions ...every Wednesday. It’s a very friendly, laid back, sharing environment where everyone is valued and supported by our facilitator/tutor Zara Stone. Come and have a go. You’ll be surprised what emerges! Every Wednesday, 9:30am - 1pm with breaks for morning tea and lunch $20 per session Bring along any materials/art mediums (no oils please) you want to use.

25.01.2022 Slow stitching workshop: . Boro Inspired Sleeveless Jacket $95pp .... This work shop will be run over two days MONDAY October 12th & MONDAY October 19th Fully tutored. All materials will be supplied ( although if you have a favourite piece you want to include please feel free to bring along) Our facilitator, Sue Coady, is passionate about the art of slow stitching and visible mending. Her introductory Boro and Sashiko workshops always sell out and this one is sure to as well. . The design in the picture is what you will be working on. It looks great on all shapes and sizes. . Sue has pre cut the shape and lining and we have a huge selection of materials for you to select for your unique garment.. Cottons and needles are also supplied. The days will start at 10.00am and run until 4.00pm . You will have homework during the weeks break ! . Tea and coffee will be available onsite. 20.01.2022 Wishing one and all a safe and happy Christmas. The year has been interesting to say the least. Drought, fires and a world wide pandemic. What challenges we have all faced. I do hope this message finds you and your family and friends well. ... Make It Tenterfield is only two years old, our artists and crafting tribe have created some beautiful work that gets lots of positive feedback from all who venture to see us. The community support from our town and shire has been outstanding. We have also had many new visitors to Make It who have enjoyed their experience and ‘will be back’ next time they visit our wonderful town. 2021 will be a changing one too. Make It is starting the year with involvement with the Tenterfield Show ( Feb 5/6) entertaining kids with art and craft workshops and our second fashion parade, showcasing local fashion businesses AND Make It wearable art. We are bubbling over in enthusiasm to unveil the first of our Sculptures along Tenterfield Creek in April and throughout the year. Tenterfield is home to history and art, we are proud to have a small role in amalgamating them for our town to showcase to the world. With lots of successful workshops during the year, with great feedback, we are planning more in-house workshops during 2021 .
