25.01.2022 A few photos taken around Mallacoota over the last week or so. It’s still a beautiful place for the nature lover.

25.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are back at the park as of now. We were very lucky and only had minimal damage. The pool area has been damaged and there are some storage vans and boat that have been destroyed by the fires along with some park equipment. Thanks for all your support and best wishes We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those annual site holders that came back to the park to save the park from even more destruction. Many thanks from us all at Shady Gully Caravan Park

18.01.2022 For those of you with cars, vans and campers left behind. This morning I've passed on your frustration to Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) about the lack of... information coming through regarding when you can get back to collect your belongings. I'm also waiting on a call back from the State Control Centre. EMV advise - ALL this information is available under Relief and Recovery tab on http://emergency.vic.gov.au/ for both residents and visitors. Then we went for a walk up to Bastion Point and spoke to police on patrol. They are checking any of your vehicles with NSW registration and if you have an available phone number they are calling you. The policeman said that you will be allowed in from Eden with sufficient proof of needing to come in. He said to tell visitors to ring the local police station to confirm entry. Phone: (03) 5158 0280 They are blocking everyone else from entering. Anyone in the vicinity of the camp park are being stopped and asked why they are there, including us. It's like a modern day ghost town in the camp park and it's patrolled around the clock. You may spot your cars in the pics. And yes, they will want you to pack up and go. The town is still running on generators using 8 tonne of fuel a day. Food supply is not quite back to normal and both supermarkets are doing the very best they can.
