25.01.2022 Open to any members of the club who are interested in becoming an umpire.

25.01.2022 Cancelled due to lack of participants. The Manly-Warringah Baseball Umpires will be running a Community Umpiring Course (old Level 0) at 9am on the 17th of February. This course is ideal for both players, coaches and parents, to gain a better understanding of the game.... Cost is $35. This course will introduce you to the responsibilities, skills and rules of baseball umpiring. Instruction will be by BA Instructors to the standards required by Baseball Australia, There is no assessment, however there will be some practical instruction during which participants will be introduced to umpiring techniques. This course is the minimum level of training umpires should have to officiate at our games. At completion of the course participants will be registered with the Level 0. EVERYONE that plays Baseball should have their Level 0 (it is a great way to see the game from the other side of the plate - you'll think again before you criticize a call!) 19.01.2022 As you would have seen from your emails and texts MWBU are now using an app.for allocation of umpires to games. The is a cloud based system, hosted in the US and is called Horizon Web Ref. Going forward we will be using this to do ALL allocations to games. So basically, if you want to do games, you need to use the system. Members will have received an email on how to register and down load the app.... If you are having trouble please contact either Brian or Dave C. to talk you through the system. Remembers to set your availability. No app. no games!

08.01.2022 A massive well done to those who up their hand up and then showed to work at the Junior Finals. It was a very long day for most of us and the team seemed generally happy with the standard, Robbo and Keith walked around and watched most of us and they were also very impressed with what they witnessed. 01.01.2022 The hottest tickets in town are now on sale! The Manly-Warringah State League and Minor League presentation night will be held at DY RSL on Saturday, 6th April ...at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Come and find out the winners of all the category award winners in State League, as well as all the MVPs from each of the Minor League teams in Summer and Masters and the presentation of the Judy Head Memorial Trophy (Summer League) and the Tough Dog Cup (Masters). Tickets are $55 and includes dinner (and a bar tab...) as well as the dulcet tones of Scott Fielding on the mic to MC the night. Tickets are limited to 200 and we had a wait list last year - so start pressing the shirts, polish the shoes, and make sure you get in early to secure your seat! Partners are encouraged to attend.
