24.01.2022 Marienberg Autumn colour Absolutely my favourite time of year. The grapes are all harvested. Nothing is more satisfying than to see all that hard work growing grapes turned into beautiful wine, and it has been a great season. Our hand picking crews grew to around 80 people from all parts of the world to pick grapes in McLaren Vale. Our machine harvesters ran around the clock for weeks on end to get the grapes into the wineries. Always a frantic and exciting time of year, the... place was a buzz. We have a new addition to the Marienberg stable this year. The Pridham family will be presenting the Roots Rose made from the famous Grenache grape variety thats been grown in McLaren Vale for more than 100 years. Stay tuned for this exciting release around late August. Yes we will have a launch party. Our Shiraz has been selling well and receiving great feedback for its quality and drinkability. The Cab Sav is a bigger wine that is beginning to drink very well now that it has some bottle age. I encourage you to try this wine it is a classic McLaren Vale style wine with a rich mid pallet and length of flavour, perfect with red meat dishes. Enjoy the Autumn colours and the gradual chilling into Winter. Get stuck into those cool weather soups and stews and of course a glass of Marienberg wine. See more
