25.01.2022 Here is a something super special and rare! Maybe even a once in a lifetime! I got very lucky here and I’ll give thanks to those who helped make it happen in a ...bit. First the stone then the story. This is a flawless I mean spotless 71.20 ct Teal and Green Australian Sapphire! It was found by the mine owners parents 65 years ago at the Central Queensland gem fields, either at Willows Field or Scrub Lead field. They gave it to him when he was a young man. Now in his later years he wanted to sell it. I’m especially grateful to David Tyrpak for texting me the sec he heard about it from Adrian Pearce who helped me make it happen including a second 9 hour drive to inspect it, chat with the owner, pick it up and make all the arrangements to ship it. Thank you. I’m going to ogle this beauty for a few days then send it to David to cut. The shape and clarity should cut an incredible large Sapphire! Also got a 29 ct stunner. Next post! See more

This gem measures 29x20x4mm and is 15.90cts of yellow to blue green color with a beautiful fade from one shade of color to the next. This is just stunning in person! Yes its available for sale so message me for price information. See more

03.01.2022 Let me introduce my new stone. It is "Fragility of the Eternal" from World Heritage project (France). Untreated Kunzite from Afghanistan, 3051 carats, 914 facet...s. Here are some photos to illustrate more than 3-months work on this huge specimen - from rough crystal to gemstone, through creating design, cutting, polishing, transferring and so on. Also I give a few fragments to show details closer. Full story of this stone will be post on GIA website soon. I just add that first time GIA mentioned cutter's name in the colored stone identification report. Enjoy! See more
