17.01.2022 Since being elected member for Cooper I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with many of our local P&Cs. I’ve truly loved getting to know all of these passio...nate local parents who are working hard to support their schools. Today is P&C Day, so I just wanted to say a big thank you to all those who have stepped up and gotten involved in their local communities - the work you do makes an enormous difference. Here are a few of our P&C legends, including Trinity and Dave from The Gap State School and members of the Mater Dei Primary School, Ashgrove West and Ashgrove State School committees.

Huge day in Prep today finishing off our illustrations to support the Prep’s own innovation of the Very Hungry Caterpillar Colour wash backgrounds, ‘blinging’ butterflies, glittering cocoons, water paint droplet butterfly wings and confetti pages to complete our classroom displays in addition to written sentences. We did it all! ... Stay tuned to see our finished displays and some digital readings of the completed texts.

12.01.2022 The children in Year 1 have had a ball learning about procedures. Yesterday, they sequenced a procedure on how to make popcorn and then put it to the test. Today, they had a special visit from Mrs King showing them how to brush their teeth using shaving cream and orange juice. They then worked together in pairs writing their own instructions on how to brush their teeth correctly (without orange juice and shaving cream).
