20.01.2022 Today is the one-year anniversary of publishing This Thing of Darkness. It’s been an interesting year. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have supported me in some way this year coming to my launch, sending notes of congratulations, recommending the book, sharing news on social media, offering encouragement and passing on sightings of This Thing of Darkness in the wild. Support is so important for a debut author and yours means a great deal to me. xo

14.01.2022 Ive spent the past week editing This Thing of Darkness. What an experience! The editor has come up with some amazingly insightful suggestions that have pushed me to delve deeper into the manuscript. I feel lucky to have her in my corner and am really excited about the direction its going.

12.01.2022 Final post on this ... my auction item for the #AuthorsForFireys campaign raised a staggering $1500. Im beyond thrilled (and, quite frankly, a bit surprised). Thank you so much to everyone who registered a bid and to the organisers, Emily Gale and Nova Weetman, for all the time and energy they put into what must have been a frantic week of corralling more than 90 items from writers and writing organisations all over Australia to support our fireys.

11.01.2022 Sent the revised manuscript back to the editor today. It feels like I've been living and breathing this story for the past couple of weeks, tossing and turning at night trying to think of ways to solve plot problems or to generally make it better. The editor will spend another two weeks on it now, then I'll get it back to make final tweaks before it gets submitted to the publisher in the middle of March. No cover mock-ups yet, but I'll post those when I have something to share.
