23.01.2022 Our Remembrance Day was quite different this year due to COVID-19. Students paid their respects at our Lone Pine throughout the morning, hanging wreaths in the Lone Pine and planting poppies underneath. Classes decorated their windows with both poppies and wreaths also. This yearly event has given our students an appreciation of those who have fought in wars and an understanding of the need for world peace.

15.01.2022 This year's Premier's Be Active Challenge was a little different as it started during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With sporting games and trainings cancelled, students had to find different ways to be active. Some of these alternatives included home circuits, online videos, online group training sessions, walking the dog, trampolining and bike rides. McPark had 53 participants this year receiving medals from bronze to champion. Congratulations on completing the Premier's Be Active Challenge. Sallyanne Morgan

14.01.2022 This year we had a large group of students take on the Primary Mathematics Association Challenge. Students chose their own topic to investigate and worked in their own time and after school on Tuesdays and Fridays in maths club. We had some outstanding results including three state winners and a class winning state entry.

13.01.2022 McPark Marvels today competed via Zoom in the Lego League National Competition. In the robot challenge, our team came 10th out of 34 entrants. Not bad for our first time at nationals! The closing ceremony was conducted remotely and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujeBPE-rI5M&feature=youtu.be. If you skip to the four minute mark you will see that our team won the motivate award! A big thank you to the students involved Jace, Noah, Vaughn, Lucas, Tex, Zoey and Lillyana and Mrs Tilley and Mr McGregor for a great year of Lego League (and giving up their Sunday!)

10.01.2022 As a day for celebrating class success room N5 had a casual day yesterday. The theme was "Dress Like Mr Castle". They pulled it off in style!

02.01.2022 Wow! McDonald Park students have once again shown how creative and innovative they are. This is our second Innovation Fair and once again the standard has been exceptional. Students worked at home on their inventions and bought them in today. The rest of the school came in to look at the wonderful inventions. Take a look at the inventions. Prizes and winners will be announced shortly.
