13.01.2022 Second and first try lunging our 1 year-old Reykja from Megalong (after Magnus from Megalong Icelandic Horses x Dis fra Þingeyrum) The foals are taught to follow and stop when pointed at their butts (the hind end is turning away) only then, we put head collars on and start lunging. We make it easy and take it slow to make sure they start responding to our signals rather than reacting.... If you’re more interested in reading about this kind of ground work, we have an article coming out in next edition (March) of Tölt talk.
