21.01.2022 Hi Team Thank you to all of you that made the effort and attended the first of the selection trials for the FNC Under 13’s Rugby Squad over the weekend. The ... turnout was solid , with some excellent talent on display which will make selecting the train on squad for 2021 challenging, but it’s great to see all the kids putting in big efforts to stake their claim for selection. Our next selection trial will be this weekend in Lismore Venue: Lismore City Home Ground , Date: Sunday 22 November Time: 3pm 5pm Again if we could have everyone there by 2:45pm kitted up and ready to go that would be awesome. Please make sure that your child brings the following: Boots Mouthguard / Head gear Playing kits Water Bottle Please note that a 2021 train-on squad of approximately 27-28 players will be announced next week following this trial via Far North Coast Rugby Facebook page with the final 23 member team being finalised prior to the country championships in May. 15.01.2022 The Kyle Sanderlands Saturday Preview After a successful week away at Mullumbimby and Grafton the Mighty Seahorses and Seahorsettes are back in one place as they collectively make the pilgrimage out to Casino for the afternoon of rugby. This week would have been the coach’s proverbial nightmare after sustaining some injuries and some unavailability’s for the trip out to Casino. The most curious change of all one is the second XV 9 which has even left the most experienced pun...dits scratching their heads only time will tell if this is a smart move by the coaching staff. It is also nice to have Capitan Poodle back on deck after seeing fit to galivant across to Darwin for a week. A few of you maybe questioning but Kyle why is there an asterixis next to Mark Pitts name? That asterixis denotes Marks first XV debut for the mighty Ballina Seahorses. After a consistent start to the season in the second XV and a few midseason injuries Mark got the call up from coach Karl to make his long-awaited debut. The Second XV kick the afternoon off at 1:15, the Womens 10’s kick off at 2:30 and the First XV set to kick off at 3:15. For those loyal fans that travel we will see you all out Casino for what will be a great afternoon of country rugby.

09.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: I’ve thought about this on so many occasions but today is the day and I am very grateful that I can do it on my terms. I’m officially retiring fro...m professional rugby. A sport I’ve played for 32 years which has helped shape me into the person I am today. I can’t thank everyone who has played a part in my journey enough - from my teammates, opponents, coaching and management teams, sponsors and in particular you, the fans. A special mention to my friends and family who have supported and guided me through my career. Mum and Dad, thank you for everything you have sacrificed for me. My wife Honor for being my rock and allowing me to fulfill my dreams while raising our beautiful family - I can’t thank you enough. I’m excited about my next chapter in life and what that will look like. For now, I’m sad to walk away from playing but the timing is right. Rugby will always be a part of my life. Thank you.
