20.01.2022 Everybody loves our Ferrero Rocher and Hazelnut gelato flavours. Indeed, we do! We love talking about our ingredients and where they come from because we believe in our supply chain's transparency to be informed about the product you are eating and love the most. Our hazelnuts (nocciole in Italian) come from Italy. The principal producers of hazelnuts are Piemonte, Lazio, Campania and Sicilia.... We usually used for our gelato a particular type of hazelnut produced in Piedmont, a northern Italian region, certified as an IGP (Identification Geographically Protected). This tasty nut production is mainly around Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria, between Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato. The production of the Nocciola Piemonte IGP is 4860 tons per year on 3315 hectares, mainly in Cuneo. The consortium for the Protection of the Nocciola Piemonte P.G.I. associates about1000 individual farms and members of agricultural cooperatives. It is the only body recognised by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies to carry out protection, surveillance, valorisation and promotion of the Nocciola Piemonte P.G.I. They are so unique and loved by the confectionery and dessert industry because: the spherical shape of the seed; excellent taste and aroma after roasting; high peel ability; good shelf-life; crunchy flesh. However, due to this unfortunate pandemic state and the small production of Nocciola IGP, we currently found another variety of hazelnut, always produced in Italy and high quality, to make our tasty flavours. Don't worry; we always look after the quality of our products to keep high our standards. A creamy texture and an intense strength of roast characterise this latest variety to give your palate an intense aroma when eating our gelato. Come, try it and see it for yourself! Christmas is the time when everybody #sharethelove with family and friends. In Italy, Christmas Eve is the fun dinner when kids stay up until midnight for Santa Claus to bring their toys!! Better off being good otherwise no presents We hope you’re going to have a great time and this general Covid pandemic will be gone soon. We dearly think about our beloved ones back home Meanwhile, we have been able to have Isacco strike a pose for Christmas, so there is a hope for everything! We weren’t able to choose only one photo for this post, as they are all beautiful and they capture the essence of Milan Gelato.
