25.01.2022 Hi everyone, posting on the behalf of all dine in business owners and staff members working in hospitality. We are thankful that we are able to open and serve the community however it is a tough gig. We must follow strict guidelines to ensure the safety of the public as well as our staff. Unfortunately, the Government hasn’t communicated how extensive the COVIDsafe plan is for hospitality to the general public. We wanted to explain the increased amount of work we are require...d to do. We need to check IDs, ensure that hands are sanitised, limit movement, patrons are wearing a mask and clean after every single customer and everything that they come into contact with (tables, chairs, condiments, menus, door handles etc). As you can imagine this takes a lot of time to enforce these new set of rules. It can become frustrating when everything takes longer than what we were once used to. Thank you for everyone’s understanding. We are all here trying to protect staff, customers and our community. We want to get back to normal as quickly as possible too. Please be kind to one another.
