13.01.2022 Today we discussed R U OK? Day with the children. The Be You program, which is a national initiative for educators to use to promote positive mental health in children, is about developing and supporting the social and emotional well being of all children. We read the book, Rubys Worry which tells the story of a little girl who discovers that she has a worry. She finds out, by meeting another little boy who has a worry, that the more she talks about her worry, the smaller it gets. These are positive strategies for children to learn in their relationships and emotional connections with others.

09.01.2022 When you are angry or distressed your brain is like a jar filled with glitter. Everything spinning and no time to think. Let all the sparkles fall to the bottom of the jar... Find a place to sit. Relax. Just Breathe.

08.01.2022 Hello everyone. A clinical psychology registrar is conducting some really important research on how early child care arrangements influence young children. Understanding this further will help psychologists, teachers, and parents support their unique children through one of the most critical times of their life. She needs over 80 more people before the end of this week to complete this 20 min online survey. We are trying to help her get over the line. We know your time is pr...ecious but we would appreciate, if you have a child going into kindergarten this year, that you may lend her a hand. Not to mention, you can win one of 10 $100 Coles/Myer gift card for participating! The link to her study is http://bit.ly/childrenseccas Thank you! If you have any questions please contact her on [email protected] or on her page @utsresearchchildrenseccas See more

06.01.2022 National Sorry Day is held on 26 May each year to acknowledge and recognise members of the Stolen Generations. Across our curriculum we embed the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, ensuring they are part of our everyday experiences and routines. Today, we take time to reflect on the importance of remembering the past and building on a positive future together. National Sorry Day is followed by Reconciliation Week which is May 27 to June 3 every year.
